Are you ready?  Are you ready?  Get ready!!  OK- ready?

Here is my wonderfulness from the fabulous SonjaBoo!!!

First- my marvelous tin!  One of my vices is napping!  And she sneaked in one of my other vices...see if you can find it!!

The front- quiet!

Inside- the napper awaits!

You take off his blanket- but not too long, he gets cold!!

AND, all the rest!  SonjaBoo and I wanted to do a bunch of extras and a bigger swap so we just went for it!!
She made me a t-shirt scarf in purple! Love it!!! Smiley  A spiffed-up notepad for my briefcase!  And, the card she sent- ultra neat!!

I collect vintage laxative tins and SonjaBoo found one!!!   Grin

(this one is for the "sour stomach" that sometimes accompanies intestinal distress!!!)

I am a high school bowling coach and SonjaBoo didn't want the kids to forget who was in charge!!

I am also fanatic about gnomes and now I have a "love gnome"!  He is going to live on my nightstand!

(if you look, you can see my obsession with Dr. Pepper in the background [it is a lamp]!!!)

That's not all!!  Shocked   I also got a terrific stained glass pendant necklace.  In the glass is a hydrangea bloom (and SonjaBoo didn't even know that is one of my very favorite flowers!!)  She also made me a charm, in purple, with the word "inspire" across it!  It will be great for me to wear to work!!

She also sent some chocolate- I seem to have *swallow* lost it somewhere!!
AND, if that weren't enough, a copy of Jessica Seinfeld's "Deceptively Delicious" was in the bottom!  I want to try eating healthier and am going to have to hid the healthy in good stuff!!

I was totally spoiled!  This was the super-est swap!!!  Thank you so much, SonjaBoo!!!  You are the grooviest!!!!

6  Re: 2012 Stash-Busting Resolution Dotees GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by grasshopper on: February 07, 2012 08:04:45 AM
I got the sweetest dottees from amnesia and craftylittlemonkey!!!

First up- amnesia sent me a super-duper embellished one!  I love it!

Here is a closer version so you can see the handiwork!!!

This one is to remind me to use my stash!  And, to not be jiggly anymore!

And from craftylittlemonkey!  She sent me a Canadian maiden!

And a close-up of her apron!

This one is to remind me to cook at home and to use up my stash!!  That is what the scissors on her apron are for!!

craftylittlemonkey also sent me some great fabric swatches that I forgot to take a picture of!  But I already know how I am going to use them!!

Thank you both so much!!  Yours will be in the mail on Friday!  Hope the wait is worth it!

First off, I love my stars!!  Though all of the stars are quite wonderful!
Second, my world fell apart around the 10th of December and is just now getting back to normal.  SOOOO, I am finally able to post pics (at 4:15 a.m. but hey- )

From zigg13pra:
Cool cut-out stars (one with my name!!) and a puffy blue one with metallic streaks

from Luvebuggy99:
a perler one, a dough one, pink stuffed felt with bling!, painted wood and an origami one!!

From cabaute:
2 neat paper, blue polymer clay with a birdie imprint, a wooden "quotation star", and one with a teeny tiny hand painted scene

From badpuppy:
stuffed burlap, stuffed gingham, 2 painted wood, and two granite-like (clay, plastic, resin?) and a small blue one with a shell on him!

Thank you all so much!!!  My Jar of Stars is out of this world!!!!  Cheesy

9  Re: Advent Calendar Swap 2011 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by grasshopper on: December 01, 2011 01:52:31 PM
WHEEEEEE!!!!

My super-great calendar! (I decided to take it to school to put in my office because it needs some Christmas cheer!)

AND-
Day 1:  "It is better to create than to learn!  Creating is the essence of life"- Julius Caesar.  Accompanied by the prettiest little purple (!) beads!!

Group photo of the next few days

Quote

Day 2- cute little bobby pins
Day 3- lemon soap (used and loved!!)
Day 4- stocking charms out of shrinky-dink!
Day 5- little clothespin
Day 6- froggy eraser
All of those round papers are the quotations, but they are at school right now and I am at home so I will have to update later!

Day 7- Earrings (our principal said they were wine charms but I liked them in my ears!)
Day 8- Blue raspberry Jolly Ranchers (yum!!)
Day 9- Tomato seeds!!
Some of the days might be mixed up because one of my students knocked it over and desperately tried to put it back together- he did pretty good (but there are still 2 weeks!)

My world crashed around the 10th but I am back to normal (mostly) so here are my updates!!  And the list of days (remember, they might be a bit screwy due to teenage boy awkwardness with the limbs!)

Day 10- tree-shaped trim for paper crafts
Day 11- pet-themed ribbon
Day 12- candy
Day 13- candy
Day 14- dragonfly and butterfly brads
Day 15- candy
Day 16- Scrabble tile necklace

Day 17- hearts
Day 18- a paper hippo (my FAVORITE Christmas song is "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas") OH NO- he is not in the picture...I forgot he is one my bulletin board at school!!
Day 19- hearts
Day 20- snowflakes and winter ribbon
Day 21- purple flowers

Day 22- paper bead keychain
Day 23- necklace with wire-wrapped amethyst (YAY!)
Day 24- birdie-shaped brad

Day 25- pic coming soon!!

Here is my loot!!

A giant anaconda scarf, yeti keychain, loch ness hat, and giant octopus magnet!

Two frames!  A kraken one and a loch ness one with a pic of nessie in it! Bigfoot flip-flops (hee!) and a bigfoot ornament.

Yeti, Bigfoot, Nessie, and giant octopus felt boards!  My swap partner's 8 year old sister made these!  And my 6 year old nephew promptly made them his own!!

All the creatures playing together- according to my nephew!

Thank you so much, Ironic!  My box was quite fun to open!!  Oh, and I got some unicorn material that I already made into a drawstring bag for my journal!
