11  The Newest Addition, Paddy Cake! (cloth art doll) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: December 03, 2012 10:27:09 AM
Hi guys!
I had to share my newest doll, Paddy Cake.
(mostly because she makes me smile and her curly hair cracks me up...I think I amuse myself too much sometimes.  Wink )

Paddy is a sweet, inquistive little girl.
She loves to talk, and she loves to ask questions.

She tends to do both almost nonstop.
She can't help she's so curious about everything!

Luckily, she's so cute, it's hard to get annoyed with her.

Paddy Cake is about 12 inches tall.
She's made of fleece and cotton.
Her face was painted with acrylics and colored pencils. Smiley

Hope she makes you smile!

12  Miss Elle Towe, my elf on the shelf in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: November 19, 2012 10:53:48 PM
Meet Miss Elle Towe!
You can call her Elle.

Her whole life, Elle has been a toymaker in Santa's workshop
(except for that brief and very embarrassing period where she tried to be a reindeer whisperer).

This year Santa decided to give her a shot at the highly desired position of Shelf Elf.

She's really hoping she'll make Santa proud!

Elle is about 11 inches tall.
She has a wire skeleton so she can hold all sorts of fun poses.

I have to thank FoxyBlue for hosting such a fun challenge over on Facebook. I may not have made a shelf elf otherwise!

13  Meet Persephone (cloth doll) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: November 08, 2012 09:36:41 PM
Hi guys!
I wanted to introduce you all to the newest doll in the house Smiley

Meet Persephone!

I love when dolls decide who they want to be.
I had a few names picked out for this little girl, and had just about settled on what it would be.
As I put the last stitches on her, she whispered that she wanted to be called Persephone.
I had never even considered that name, but I knew it could be nothing else.

Persephone loves flowers and springtime.
She's a bit disappointed that her birthday is in the fall.
She also has a weakness for sweets (but doesn't everyone?  Wink )

Persephone is about 12 inches tall if you count her long legs.
She's made of fleece and cotton, with a tulle skirt.
Her face is painted with acrylics and colored pencil.

She's now patiently waiting for me to create her sisters to keep her company.  Grin

14  Bunny Doll for a Special Baby :) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: October 20, 2012 05:38:10 PM
My brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first baby December 1st.

I'm so excited I get to be an aunt!

I wanted to make baby Ruby something special for her nursery.
Her mom loves bunnies and yellow, so I knew what I had to make.  Grin

She's 15 inches long if you count her legs and ears.

Her ears are wired so they can be posed.

I knew I wanted to include her name somewhere.  Smiley

I can't wait to give her to my sister-in-law at the baby shower tomorrow!  Cheesy

15  Punkin, a little Halloween doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: October 12, 2012 06:19:57 PM
Meet Punkin!

She just loves fall and anything having to do with Halloween.

She could hardly wait for me to take her outside to see the pumpkins!

She's about 12" tall (6" when sitting.)

Punkin thinks two and a half weeks is WAY too long to wait for Halloween to get here!
I told her I'm sure she'll manage somehow.  Wink

16  Rainbow Dash inspired pony in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: October 05, 2012 01:49:57 PM
I recently got a request to make someone a Rainbow Dash inspired pony.

She's going to be a christmas present for a little girl that just adores Rainbow Dash.  Grin

She's not very big...about 6.5 inches tall and 6 inches long.

Her wings are wired so they can be posed.

It's funny...when I first finished her, I hated her (I think I'd spent way too much time worrying over her).
It wasn't until I'd walked away for a few hours that I decided she wasn't too bad.

Now I'm sorry to see her leave!
Funny how that works sometimes, isn't it?

17  Sketch the Secret Keeper in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: September 18, 2012 01:06:35 PM
Meet Sketch!

She's the first of The Secret Keepers.
She loves to listen to your secrets...and promises to keep them safe.

She's 12" tall, but half of that is legs!

She's a bit silly...but that's what I love about her.  Smiley

She was so much fun to make, I'm positive there will be many more.  Grin

18  Something Blue - a bride doll (18 inch jointed cloth doll) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: September 05, 2012 07:57:17 PM
A friend of mine is getting married in October and I wanted to make her something special. Smiley

I made a card to go along with her that says:

Something Old
-Her necklace was mine when I was little

Something New
-The fabric for her bodice and the lace for her sleeves were purchased brand new just for her

Something Borrowed
-Most of her skirt and veil were borrowed from a bag of dress up clothes

Something Blue
-A special message hidden on the bottom of her shoes

Anyway, I'm happy to introduce you guys to "Something Blue!"

She's smaller than my last doll. She's 18" tall.

She's jointed at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees.

She had to have a garter, of course!

The message on the bottom of her shoes is my friend and her fiancee's name as well as their wedding date.

I hope you guys like her (but I really hope my friend likes her!)

19  Meet Bliss, my muse :) ( jointed cloth doll ) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: July 29, 2012 06:22:45 PM
Have you ever created something that made your whole heart sing?
That's what happened to me when I created this doll.
To be honest, I've dreamed of making a doll like this ever since I taught myself to sew in 2009.

I am so excited to introduce you guys to Bliss!

She came out way larger than I had originally planned...24" tall!
(Probably going to shrink my pattern down a bit for the next one, especially since I hand sew LOL.)

She's jointed at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees.

She and I had a lot of fun taking these photos outside today.  Grin

I can hardly wait to get started on the next one!
(Yes, I already have a list of future ones I'm wanting to create, haha.)

Hope you guys like her!

20  Party Monster in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Scribble Dolls on: July 11, 2012 09:44:59 PM
This guy wandered into the art room the other day.
I was glad he did because his bright colors make me so happy!

He says he loves to party...anytime, any place. He'll be there!

I couldn't get him to tell me his name though. Any suggestions?

He's about 6.5 inches tall and completely hand sewn.  Smiley
