Merry Christmas to all those who are celebrating! And I hope everyone is having a great day, whether you're celebrating or not.

I love the photos of Poppy, deadbathducky! It looks like she's having a lovely time.

After a long drive on Sunday (the longest drive I've even done, and I was by myself. Eek !), Bean and I are back at my "other home" in London. We've been celebrating Christmas with my family. There's been lots of food, good TV and lovely presents. We'll be here for another couple of weeks before we go back to Wales , so I've got lots planned so that Bean has a good chance to explore a completely different area and see the famous sights in London.

Bean and I have had quite a busy week!

We went shopping for Christmas decorations...

Found an igloo in a town called Betws y Coed, and stopped for lunch by the river...

Drove back from Betws y Coed through Snowdonia National Park. I couldn't really look because I was driving, but Bean tells me the landscape was very beautiful.

Then when we got back we picked up my housemate and went to the Dutch Pancake House for lunch. They have otters and capybara there, which we had wanted to go and see, but it was raining heavily and the wind was really strong so we had to give it a miss. I'm sure we'll go again though before Bean goes home!

I love those little houses! I think I might have a go at making some myself, they seem so much easier than the gingerbread house I was planning on making haha.

My car has near enough completely broken down on me now, so it looks like the only things Bean and I will be able to do for a little while will be things around the house Sad. We've been busy preparing for Christmas though, as I celebrate it with my family. We've put our Christmas tree up, and are going to wrap some gifts this afternoon. Pictures to come soon!

I don't celebrate Thanksgiving (being in the UK), so it's been a standard week for Bean and I. I was quite surprised to learn that Black Friday has apparently become "a thing" over here now - apparently lots of Asda stores (one of our major supermarket chains, which is owned by Walmart) had people going crazy over discounted electrical products, with people even getting injured and having to go to hospital (which is virtually unheard of)!

Today I discovered a really cool place that I want to take Bean to next week, so hopefully after a quiet couple of weeks we've got something more exciting coming up!

Ok so now I am jealous! I love Llangollen so much! My mum lives in Chirk and my Grandma lives in a tiny village near Oswestry although my mum only moved about 10 years ago my Grandma has lived there my whole life and when we would go and visit I ALWAYS wanted to go visit Llangollen, beautiful town with wonderful shops, and no visit was complete without a drive over Horseshoe Pass!!

This was actually the first time I'd ever been to Llangollen - I lived in London until about 8 months ago so I'm still trying to explore my new local area. My boyfriend and I did try to visit a couple of months ago, but didn't know that it was the weekend of a food festival so the town was crammed with people and there was absolutely nowhere to park the car! So we ended up stopping off for a tea break at Chirk Castle instead - we weren't able to stop for long, but it looked like a lovely place so I'm hoping I'll be able to go back there to visit soon Smiley

These are slightly later than planned, my internet connection has been soooooo slooooowwww for the past few days that it's been impossible to get anything done.

On Saturday we had a bit of good weather (cold, but the sun was out and it wasn't raining!) so my boyfriend and I went out for a nice long walk, and Bean braved the cold and came along with us. I need to make her a scarf and coat I think, coming from Australia she's not used to temperatures this cold!

We walked about 8.5 miles (just under 14km) I think, leaving from the lovely town of Llangollen. We walked up past the ruins of an old abbey, past some amazing limestone cliffs, then back down into the valley before going up a HUGE hill to the ruins of a castle.

The ruins of the abbey, called Valle Crucis. You can also just about see some really cool camping pods at the bottom of the photo. I really want to go and stay in one!

At the ruins of Castell Dinas Bran.

After a quiet week, most of which was spent at home crafting due to it raining lots every day, Bean and I managed to go out somewhere! We went to Conwy Castle, which is about 20 minutes walk from my house.

Then we are going to Worcester for Christmas and then Chirk (in Wales) for new year to spend time with both sets of parents.

Give Bean and I a wave when you're in Chirk! We're about an hour away (I live up on the North Wales coast) - will this be the closest that 2 LVs are to each other in this swap??

It's not set in stone, but I may be going somewhere in Feb that I've wanted to go to for about 13 years and I can probably bring Poppy... We will have to see Wink

Sounds exciting! Any hints on where it is or do you want to keep it a surprise?

Aww that's so sweet of your niece and nephew to be looking out for her like that! How old are they? A rabbit safety seat is a very good idea, I might have to make something similar for Bean so she can be safe when travelling in my car (she's so small that the lap part of the seatbelt would probably completely cover her, meaning she couldn't see a thing!)

I didn't know that glow-in-the-dark duct tape existed! :O. The duct tape craze definitely hasn't caught on over here yet, we still only get the boring, standard colours (black, silver and sometimes white).

Magic Nekochan (a.k.a. Bean) has arrived here in Wales! I'm hoping we'll get to go out somewhere today, if the rain holds off, so I should have some pictures to post in the gallery this evening. I'm also happy that she's made it in time to come to a big craft show with me on Friday Smiley

I hope Poppy is travelling safely and that she arrives soon, I can't wait to see what she gets up to on her Australian adventure!
