congrats! i love the hat! nice yarn too, i havent seen stuff like that before! im working on my first circular project too .. the kitty hat but i just cant figure out how to use dpns so that i can finish it! (im gonna implode soon from the frustration hahah!)
Thankies! XD I hadn't ever seen yarn like that either it's pretty coo That's my next project is the Kitty hat I can't wait to see yours! Don't worry It took me 2 months to get the hang of DPN's and I just knit my first sock too Keep it up and you'll get it XD
OK I know there have been alot of hat posts, but I just couldn't wait This hat I started last night an hour before I fell asleep, then this morning I worked on it for a few hours while watching the Ugly Betty marathon XD Here's the info
The yarn - is pictures below, I don't know exactaly what it is because I accquired it from my buddy Necia along with tons more which I am so greatful for! I used about 1 1/4 skeins, double stranded. The yarn is really interesting itself though, it is a single ply of 48%wool and 30%wool covered by a netting of black nylon.
Needles - 10 1/2 circulars, I didn't have any DPN's in that size so it was a little tricky
Oo I really like this I think you did a fantastic job! Especially for jsut looking at the picture, I just learned how to knit socks and even with the most simple(est?) pattern I could find, I still had to frog it about 4 times. again amazing and the color combo looks good too
I only have post twice but when I take a picture of my skeins, I tend to us the macro setting(that is if you have one) I just got a camera for christmas and it has a SUPER MACRO setting as well so it enables me to take a clear picture for close up's that are up to 5 cm's away. I also use photobucket, always have and I'm not saying flickr isnt good, I think it's awesome but I just tend to use photobucket because for me it get's the job done and it's also at the side when I post and that's also convientiant. I hope I helped some
P.s.- The best lighting for me and my camera is the sunlight/natural light, if posible get outside to take a picture of your skein before deciding.
