Very cute!  Was the bowling bag hard to make!

Thanks.. hmm.. it wasn't too bad to make but I have made a couple similiar bags (but taller, different shape ) and have been learning with each one.  I used a store bought bag as a "template" for this one's size, shape (just sorta traced around the bag).  I am having trouble figuring out how to perfect the corners.

I am in the midst of doing another bowling style bag but using a Mccall pattern (out of print - 3136), they do the lining very differently from what I've done before , so we'll see how that goes.. I'll post when I'm done.

haha, I was confused, never heard of them and was wondering how the bag relates to a skirt Smiley  then did a google search..

Nice job on the skirts.. looks really good and so much fun.
59  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / A few more bags on: December 07, 2011 08:48:34 PM
Finished up a few more purse for christmas gifts.

This is from the book Carry me. It uses an internal purse frame. Back of bag has a zippered pocket. I followed a tutorial from here to learn how to do the zippered pocket, but can't remember which tute it was.

Inside - I tried to add a zippered divider down the middle (not in the pattern), but made it too big, it was too late to fix.  It can just be pushed to one side.  One side of the inside has a zippered pocket, the other has two open pockets and pen pockets.

pleated clutch - from Vogue pattern.. love how this turned out.

Crossbody bag - This is from a Vogue pattern.  My interfacing caused a lot of wrinkles.. so annoying.  If I had more time I'd do it again

inside - has a zippered pocket on one side and 2 open pockets and pen slips on the other.

this one is made from a placemat. I'm not too happy with how it turned out, it's was simple to do but made some mistakes. It's for my SIL who is having a baby any day now, thinking she can use it as a diaper clutch. It has a zippered pocket on the back and a magnetic closure. Used this tutorial -  lined pouch  and added the zippered pocket to outside first.
