1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Ironman... what... neato. on: August 10, 2010 02:16:58 PM
Great work! Love the content as well. I say, don't compare yourself to what's out there now in the museums. I love all kinds of work, but I like to create my own - whatever makes you happy.
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: colored pencil from photograph on: August 10, 2010 02:10:09 PM
I think that you did a really good job with the proportions. The drawing would be even better with some more values (shades of color) Smiley The perspective is awesome.

Great work for a first self portrait Smiley

Thank you, everyone!  Cheesy No one's ever told me that the skull looks like a sculpture! Cool, thanks!

Why does the sculpture make you laugh, aisy?

My favorite is my sculpture as well. I think that I really am a sculptor above all else, I just haven't done many. I'm thinking of getting into sculpting food  Tongue

It's been SO long since I've been to Craftster. I used this website to keep me sane during my "I don't know what the hell I'm going to do with my life" year. Now it's been five years since that time, and I'm headed in the right direction for me: fine art and helping people. I now create, teach, do massage therapy, and volunteer. I'm still interested in all things crafty among many other interests, but they seem to sit on the back burner - art being in the forefront.

Here's some of my recent works (the one on the bottom is almost done):

Thanks for peeking Smiley
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Wedding invitation scrolls (red/black/silver & blossom theme) on: August 15, 2007 01:17:14 AM
Amazing! This is something I have always thought about doing for my wedding! It's so cool to see it executed! Now I definitely want to do this.

 Shocked Agreed!

Great work everyone! I haven't been on Craftster for a long time! Therefore, I haven't been able to keep track of everyone who has joined the list! I will be updating the front page - I am taking off the list of people and this thread can just continue to grow without the extra effort of a list! This has gotten HUGE!
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Teeny tiny circs? on: March 08, 2007 01:14:16 PM
As said previously, magic loop is the better way to go with circs. The circs are pretty large though, not teeny.

Welcome newbies Cheesy Join in anytime, as stated!

For now, I have nothing major on my list.

finish mockup, and make two shirts for my man
Start sewing mockup dresses/outfits
finish knitting some scarves
Finish knitting my socks
Maybe start on a pair of socks for my friend
draw, draw, draw

As I said, nothing major. The big thing is getting those shirts done. Hopefully by the end of February. One was supposed to be a Christmas gift, but the man understands.

I will try to update the list at another time with everyone who's joined. I haven't been here in a while and I've noticed there's been some activity! Thank goodness I'm not the only one Cheesy
