3501  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Decoupage vs. inkjet on: May 22, 2005 09:55:21 AM
Can I print something with my inkjet printer and then decoupage it, or will the ink get all floaty (thinking of the problem people have had when trying to print stuff and then use it for the marble picture thingies..)

______

Thanks everyone, just thought I'd add now that my decoupage works fine on inkjet stuff as well. It's a double thingy, being both glue and seal at the same time... Smiley

3503  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: decoupaged side board on: May 22, 2005 09:18:55 AM
That's really great. I'm just about to start decoupaging for the first time ever, and I'm out looking for ideas, so I just used the search... and this is the coolest looking so far, together with a couple of shoes.
Though my boyfriend would probably threaten to move out if I made our furniture colorful like that Cheesy

Oh, it would be nice with a decoupage section - if nothing else, to be able to quickly find all the decoupage stuff you want to see... ^^ the search isn't very reliable on that front...

The red-white one would make cute headbands... doesn't get rid of too much fabric though Wink
you could make chair cushions. The kind you just tie to the back of the chair. You could make fold-up seats/matresses, for sunbathing... the kind where you have like four stuffed squares attached to eachotherrs, so they can fold up to carry around more easily...

You could make picnic blankets if anyone ever uses those Smiley You could make some sort of mail organiser to hang on the wall maybe... or just search for "tuturial" here on the craftster search to find a load of stuff to learn Cheesy some of them will involve fabric.

You could make covers for stuff that need covering... um... something must need covering up... Wink You could make a pencil holder, kinda like the thing stitching folk make for their supplies... Kinda like this one I made for my boyfriend (can't find my post here, so I'll have to link to a swedish site.. there's pictures though..)

heh, wouldn't it be cool if I ever used my nice ideas to get rid of my own tons and tons of fabric? erhm

3508  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Necktie Strawberries on: May 21, 2005 09:45:04 AM
Oh! How did you make them? I've never used any neckties for anything, so I can't figure it out for myself for more reasons than just being stupid.. Wink
They're really sweet Smiley
3509  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Wide eyed cat and Pinky Cutie bunnie -IMAGE HEAVY- on: May 20, 2005 03:37:44 PM
aww I wish we had sewing class in highschool.. but with 90% guys, and it being an ITschool that wasn't really an option... Smiley
I like the animals. The cat kinda looks like it has sunglasses or something. Maybe it's a hardcore albino who is so lacking in pigment in the eyes that it has to wear sunglasses all the time Smiley
3510  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: LARGE fleece monsters! on: May 20, 2005 03:31:48 PM
They are about the size of a pillow.

You mean the twins? Grin
I like them, they look perfect for 3-year-olds (not that I know anything about kids, but I know my own mentality..). Good grabbing to whack someone (nicely), fun monsters to play with, and nice pillows for a bit of haphasard resting... Wink
