I'm just generally fond of this and found I hadn't uploaded it anywhere, in spite of the fact that it's from 2003, so now I'm overdoing it and showing everyone

The bead swap round 2 was great! I got such cool beads from mrs.benjimadden... I just had to make a bracelet right away!

The light blue spacers where mine from the beginning, but the rest are all from the swap. I'm so in love with the beads with asian signs, they're wooden and marvellous... As you can see - one side of the bracelet is more pink and blue, and the other is more orange and green.. so I just turn it around for an all-year-bracelet (I didn't want the orange and pink next to eachothers, I don't swing that way)
Oh, and the bigger dark beads are all dark transparent blue, except for the one between the two greens, that one is black.


And the necklace... What do you call it when you kinda.. tie a rope? It's not braided, it's just a bunch of loops drawn into eachothers over and over again. I'm sure you've seen this already. It looks like one of those "modern" ropes (not the old, charming twisted ones..)

I made this for a friend of mine, whom I'm gonna visit Thursday. When I was a kid we used this technique to tie bracelets, "friendship bracelets" or whatnot. They're quick and easy to make, and I kinda kept on going until I had a necklace. I was just gonna make the necklace, but it doesn't weigh anything, so I stuck an uneven bead on it. It's bottle green when you hold it up to the light, though it looks black in the photos, and the necklace itself is black and white with bright faux silver clasps.

My friend is a boy (or claims to be so), so I'm kinda hoping it doesn't look too feminine

Yay! I got my loot just now! Sitting at home, fiddling around a bit doing nothing.. suddenly.. this arrives!  



There are these really sweet beads with kinese/japanese/whatnot signs on 'em. Now do any of you happen to have a dictionary on you?

There more I look at this stuff the more I like it ^^ Now I'm contemplating just stringing all the equally sized ones (along with the sign-ones) on one string and wearing it as a bracelet in a sort of "come help me I have no aesthetic bone in my body" sort of way... just so I can wear it all at once.

I don't know a proper word for one of these in english...  

Anyway. My mother dried some oranges christmas before last or so to use them for some christmas decorations, but she never did it, so I took them a few days ago, along with an interesting sort of circular empty frame and the plastic leaves of another candle ornament (my mother was reluctant to let me slaughter it, but she didn't use it herself...)

And now I did this.



It's a bit more than half a yard high I think

I didn't actually break the leaves (maybe two...) so they can basically be detached and put back where they once were. I was thinking I'll give this to my mother for mothers day (last sunday of may).

Smart thing about the frame: It's a rubber circle and a plastic circle - the plastic one having a sort of "bend" inwards so the rubber one will stay put there, and press down and hold whatever you put in the frame (like an embroidery) so it was very good for attaching the fishing wire with oranges on it, and decorating the rubber circle separatly with leaves...

The oranges get very nicely glowlike in the sun, being half seethrough and orange

Okay, so, normally I stick to deviantART for my.. art. But I'm just fond of this and thought I could just insert the link and see what you guys think.
I used to write a comic I called "comics of grey", which was all just-so-many-steps-from-being-goth, but I'm just not that dark inside anymore, so I started this one, because I miss it a bit.

Mainly I'm posting because I'm very proud of the frame containing a zoom in of my lovey. Even though the eye is all wrong, and I can't do proportions worth squat. It might not seem like much, but I'm really not a very good drawer, I generally draw worse than the end frame which I find to be a bit mediocre compared to the fact that I actually tried... In my country (for easter) it's tradition to get some birchtwigs, a big bundle, and put it in a vase, then decorate it with colored feathers and hang colored eggs in it.
There's not a good english word for "birchtwigs for easter", the dictionary just says "Easter decoration of twigs adorned with coloured feathers".

These should be high enough to be "arm rests"Get one piece of inch-thick foam that will lie along the back of the sofa, and be as long... this should maybe be higher than your arm rests, to be the back of it...Get a piece of 3 or 4 inches thick foam that will be the base. Of such a size that it fits neatly between your other pieces.Just measure the mantle area of your foam when you put it into position with eachothers... and cut out pieces of fabric with those same sizes, with seam allowance. Then sew together into shape]

I mentioned I should post this, in the first post I ever wrote, but I couldn't find the pic. Now that I did, the pic is kinda crappy, but still

I made this in sixth grade or so, for the cats. It's a fabric cover (sown into the shape of which I stacked the filling) into which I stuck some foam rubber. It's just big enough for them to lie on, and they love it. Especially kittens tend to want to sleep in it all the time, but now, generally the youngest cat of that household (I moved out from my parents house a year ago) tends to sit on it whenever they're in the living room watching tv.

(edit: The measurements seem to be off. If you think it would be wise, I can remove the tutorial. See this as general guidelines if you want. The measurement-issue is something you can just do yourself. Cut your bottom, sides and back, and place them in a sofa-shape, then just measure the "outlines". It's what I did. It was hard work trying to make a tute for something I barely remember making, so I probably will not make a new one.  And as mentioned several times in the "tutorial", it does not include seam allowance. This is not as difficult as it may seem. I just made an allover cover and stitched along the edges, that's it. It's just a load of boxes if you wish. Do it the way you see fit.)

And if you make one, please post pics here, I'd LOVE to see it if anyone did
