1  Re: UK Stash Busting Swap! Gallery in The Swap Gallery by aneyhall on: September 21, 2010 05:53:37 AM
Behold the greatest stash busting Crafster swap parcel EVER...   (in my humble opinion)

After some minor collect plus dramarama my parcel from Pinniped was delivered today!  Hurrah!  The first thing I noticed was the weight.  That was one box packed tight with goodies.  The box itself is a super cool box with a lid that I can collage on or leave as is.

Without further ado, bring on the pics!

The box, loads of binding and seam tape, printer sheets for fabric, fasteners for bags & belts, and so much elastic.

Just some of the fabric.  Pinniped has amazing taste.  So much of this I have never seen before.  I love it all and am picturing bags, wallets, and other fun projects.

MORE fabric of a zillion different gorgeous prints.  Buttons--so many buttons!  I LOVE BUTTONS and my stash was greatly depleted after my Brownies used them all for eyes in a project we were doing.  The buttons even came with another great box.

And inspiration, ideas, loads of pretty projects to ponder.

THANK YOU PINNIPED!  I can't wait to get started.  Now I REALLY wish I wasn't starting my PhD NEXT WEEK.  Sewing will help me focus, right?

It's been quite a while since I sent so I thought I'd post pictures of what I made for Thania.  Interestingly it's a variation on a bunch of things already in the gallery: a pride-y needlebook with rainbow-coloured buttons to snip off and use.

I got a super duper cool Dr Who Fan Extraordinaire badge from cindibee:

I love, love, love it.  Thanks, cindibee!

Also I thought I'd post the badge that Cindibee got from me as I know that she's had some internet troubles:

Cindibee earned the Albino Crocodile Spotting Whilst on Honeymoon badge.  Smiley  I also sent an extra Brownie badge--perhaps Cindibee can post a pic of that later.

Sorry the pictures aren't great but if Cindibee has better pics perhaps she can post.

This was one of my favourite swaps I've ever done.  THANKS EVERYONE!

Got a reasonably good photo of my badge from Annachronism.  I'm Disney 'Til I Die.  It's true!

Annachronism did a fantastic job!  Smiley

Ask and ye shall recieve.  Not ten minutes after I posted that comment, there was a knock at the door!  Without further ado, here's my super cool package from zombiecakeses:

Yes, that's my curious cat's tail and all my goods together.

My awesome bag with Starbuck's painting.

Beware my cylons!

And my new viper badge.  I'm in the merit badge swap right now and going to put the badges I get on bags.  This is totally going on a bag too!

Thanks zombiecakeses.  I hope that you'll like my package.  Sorry for the delay.  It'll be coming at you soonly. Smiley

I got the coolest package from WhiteSheep!

She put together an amigurumi kit with three types of yarn (including a gorgeous silky alpaca skein), felt (for eyeballs and faces and such), a crochet hook and THE COOLEST AMIGURUMI BOOK EVER.  Creepy cute?  That's the best!  I can't wait to get started.

I also got two great pieces of fabric (including the most adorable sheep fabric!), a gorgeous smelling vegan lavendar soap, a great i love my cat phone charm (that's already on my phone), a ring (the very first she's made!), and another gorgeous hand spun and dyed ball of wool.  Here's another photo--sorry it's not better-of the wool:

Incidentally WhiteSheep is already legendary with the women who knit in my family.  They LOVE her wool--and so do I!

Leafy_Lane received on Friday but as she's not feeling very well she said it might be a bit before she could post photos.  Since I was posting photos of the brilliant and wonderful goodies I got, I thought I'd put up a few pics of what I sent.  I hope you feel better soon, Leafy_Lane!!!

Leafy_Lane said she wasn't particularly into fangirly things--that, for instance, she'd prefer a bag inspired by the TARDIS rather than a bag that actually looked like the TARDIS.  I stuck to that and made mostly 'inspired by' things.

An Amy Pond inspired purse as Amy is Leafy_Lane's fav companion.  Amy wears lots of gorgeous bright, deep colours and I wanted to capture that.  So although you can't see the fabric very well, there's deep orange, red, and blue.  The inside is lined with blue corduroy.

A TARDIS-inspired hat made from an upcycled, felted wool sweater.  The sweater was a close colour for the TARDIS and the swirl pattern--that I found here on Craftster--definitely seemed TARDIS-y so...

Finally an Adipose and a couple of Who pins.

Hope it's OK that I posted pics, Leafy_Lane.  Just thought since you weren't feeling well I'd help out.
