1  first wallet :] in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by TheRobotSays on: June 11, 2010 01:59:54 AM

I like how this turned out, my top stitching was a little wonky in one of the corners, but all in all I like it.  This came from one of the stacks of fat quarters I got on clearance at michaels. Next time I'll make a bigger wallet...I would have added a zippered coin pouch...but no zipper. I also need to press it haha.

C&C?

2  super quick throw pillow in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by TheRobotSays on: June 09, 2010 08:56:22 PM
Well, found some fat quarters on clearance at michaels, so I took the opportunity...I mean really? 10 fat quarters for 3 bucks? deal.  I made a tufted throw pillow, our living room is mostly white beige khaki and brown, so I thought a punch of blue would do justice to my leather chair.

I know it's not much but I love the print, and the way it warps in the center.

3  2nd go at a purse. 3 pictures in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by TheRobotSays on: June 09, 2010 05:58:09 PM
I really like how this one turned out.
I found some fat quarters at michaels for 1.49 a 5 pack.
This purse used 2 fat quarters & some interfacing.
I'm going to add something to close it up.
when I was adding the handles my needle bent so I had to hand stitch them.
I'm not a great sewer by any means but I have about 7 more FQs to play with.

I didn't have enough of one pattern of fabric for a handle, so I did a patchwork kind of handle for it.

4  Bombomb Amigurumi! in Knitting: Completed Projects by TheRobotSays on: May 28, 2010 07:51:31 PM
I really like how this turned out, I modified the Danger Craft's monster chunk pattern & made a bombomb, I CO 42 stitches just to make him a little bigger, he stands about 4 inches in height.  I'm new to knitting so I wasn't sure how to knit oval eyes, so I crochet that. I made i-cord for his wind up key & whip stitched his feet to the body. I also used a large button to anchor his wick into his body.  C&C is always appreciated!

6  the ishi knit/inga mesh hobo. in Crochet: Completed Projects by TheRobotSays on: May 16, 2010 07:42:28 PM

It started out as becoming a crocheted granny version of the Ishi knit garter bag (22 squares, rounded big) The inspiration came from the Inga granny bag a lot of you have been making, as you might know the Inga calls for 16 squares, well I ran out of yarn & got pretty much the opposite of my goal, but I love it!!!!
It's an odd shape but a pretty good size
& yes I know i need to weave in the ends.
C&C is always nice!!

thanks guys, & yes I do plan on doing the handles right now actually lol

finished object!

Still need to weave in the ends, I was too lazy to knit i-cord for it so I just hdc some handles.
I really like how it turned out.
C&C?

I'm posting this in the completed projects also  Grin

So I ran out of yarn for the bag I was making...I got to 12 squares & ran out of brown, sad sad.  but it turned out a decent size, large enough for my wallet, phone, crackers, keys, binky and other things I need.
It needs handles & it's done:

This is it partially put together

all ready for handles. I like the odd shape.

I've put my afghan to the side lol, but here are 8...almost 9 of 22 squares for a bag...its just 6 squares more than the Inga bag requires & for handles I'm going to try my hand at knitting i-cord
The purple really isn't that bright & the green isn't that pale...that brown one is waiting for a green round & it's done.
