1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Mario Potted Plants! on: April 15, 2011 09:24:49 AM
I made a set of these earlier to go towards a charity auction to benefit those affected by the recent disasters in Japan. They were so fun and easy to make that I think I'll be making a few more! Smiley

Made with perler beads, painted pots, model magic (to "fill" the pots), and covered with craft foam that's been textured to look like dirt.

These are great for anyone who has a black thumb like me  Wink
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Mega Man 2 wall art! (now with more pics!) on: July 19, 2010 09:18:01 AM
Hi everyone, this is my first time sharing a project on craftster, I hope you like it! This is such a wonderful community and I'm happy to see the diverse interests of everyone on here.

This project is a perler bead version of the Mega Man 2 boss select screen. Originally, it was supposed to be finished as a Christmas gift for my fiance in 2007. Well....I definitely underestimated the magnitude of the project  Embarrassed, and just finished it this weekend. But we are both really happy with the results!

Each piece is about 9"x9", and is backed with foamcore to give it some depth and make it easier to hang.

EDIT (Hope that's okay!)

After staring at the project for the past couple weeks, I decided to space the pieces out a little more to balance with the size of our couch. So...here are the pics in the room!

As a side note, I also made the two birdie throw pillows Tongue

3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hi from Maryland! on: November 11, 2009 11:01:43 AM
I'm a long-time lurker, but I finally got off my lazy butt and made an account! Craft-wise, I like trying different things, but my current favorites include knitting/crochet and perler bead/video game related crafts. There are so many talented people on craftster, and I love how inspiring everything is!

(As for the username, I have been playing a lot of toejam and earl lately)  Smiley
