1  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Knitty's Danica on: January 10, 2008 02:54:08 PM
Ruby,

I did the same thing!  I'm making Danica again in Natural Earth, and also 4 skeins.

I have about 15 inches finished.  Good luck, it's fun.

I can see I'll make a lot of these.

I don't like weaving in ends, but I think it probably won't take too long.  I need to remember that I should probably be spending some time doing it as I go-then the task won't seem so daunting.

My next one will be the SWS, but the one after that-I have visions of doing one in black with the ROY G BIV colors.  I think that will be cool, and go with almost every item I own.

Thanks to the OP, and to those who have done this.  It helped me learn entrelac!

I started this just before Christmas, (like I needed another project between this and the Olive Branch Hoodie, Tapestry's Rye, and a random scarf),  and it isn't as hard as I thought.  I'm going to hate weaving in all those ends, though.  I HAD to pick up 4 skeins of SWS today (in natural earth).  Thanks everyone!

oh, ps-
This is with Lamb's pride worsted in silver grey, onyx, and red on size 8 needles.

4  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Olive Branch Hoodie Along? (Now with pictures!) on: December 21, 2007 03:17:17 PM
I ordered my yarn awhile ago, but only started early this week.  I like it so far, and love the Amherst!

I'm almost on my left sleeve....

Thanks for posting this!
5  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Anyone want to try Rowan Tapestry? on: November 04, 2007 12:46:46 PM
This is Foxtail from the Rowan tapestry collection.  I just cast this on today.  I was going to start the Olive branch hoodie, but this won out.

Interested?

I'm excited!

My pattern was sent over email a few days ago.  My yarn was sent today.

I liked the looks of the pattern so much, that I ordered 2 colors.  Soft brown, and sweet pea.

I really liked the olive, but they were sold out.  I would've searched, but my yarn stash is getting much bigger rather than smaller.

Also-today I taught myself fair isle knitting (2 strands-1 in each hand).  It looks pretty good.

I'm SURE I'll use up lots of my stash this way...so I'll keep telling myself.

Anyhow-looking forward to starting this awesome project.  thanks.

Wow, craftster has changed since I last logged in.  I just ordered the yarn and the pattern from WEBs (I did see a picture of the front).

I'll join.

Pattern is here:  http://douma.net/Karen/knitting/Accessory-Scarves/Multidirectional_Diagonal_Scarf.htm

I used the same yarn as in this blog:

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: I finally finished! on: March 07, 2007 07:19:44 PM
Thanks,
This was just made out of lion brand chunky wool.  I don't know the color, but it's great...You can't see it in the picture, but it has dark contrasting threads through it, which is perfect for me, because I have 2 dark colored pets.  Their hair won't be so obvious.

I remembered that I posted about this blanket once before.  Let's see if this works:
