Would you mind telling us where you got the original mask you started with?

I actually got it from a costume shop that is in town...It cost me $4, and then when I got to Jo-Ann to buy supplies for it, I saw that they had masks for like $2...however, they were plastic and not nearly as cool and probably would've been more of a pain to work with.

So there was a masquerade ball...and I wasn't planning on going.  But then for some reason, the night before the party, I had a dream about it, so I decided to go.  I wore my senior prom dress and made a made a mask!  (well, I decorated it...it started out as just a white mask with a black handle.  I painted it and put on rhinestones and a couple of fake flowers and some beaded wire, which i attached by gluing a felt flower on top!  oh, and I wrapped the handle with ribbon and put rhinestones on it, too!)
