41  Bridal Shower Gift in Crochet: Completed Projects by seabound23 on: November 20, 2009 07:00:39 PM
So my sister got married about a month ago, and for her bridal shower (which was back in August....I just now decided to post pics) I crocheted her an aran afghan. It was very frustrating, because I would keep frogging it. Then I realized that when you look in the sunlight, one chunk is lighter because it was from a different dye lot even though I got a yarn that claimed it wasn't from a dye-lot, but needless to say my sister loved it and despite the color issue, I'm quite proud. It was massive, thus I couldn't get a good full shot because if I stood on a chair in my house, I'd be hunched over as to not hit my head. Ok, enough jabbering, on to the pics.

we have a queen size bed and it was folded partially under itself so it's as big as a queen.

a detail shot of the stitches.

42  Baby Sweater! in Knitting: Completed Projects by seabound23 on: November 18, 2009 07:02:25 AM
So my bf's sister is having a little baby girl, so I decided to knit her a little sweater! I used a pattern from One Skein Wonders, and southwest trading co. bamboo yarn. It's the 2nd baby sweater I've ever knit, the first one was for my son, but seeing as how he was almost 12 lbs at birth, and only kept growing at a ridiculously rapid rate, he only wore it once. Here's to hoping that her baby is a normal size and gets many wears out of it!

43  My Little Animal in Halloween Costumes by seabound23 on: November 01, 2009 05:21:09 PM
So this is my first post ever on craftster, long time lurker. Since about a week after my son was born, I began thinking of what his first Halloween costume would be. I finally decided that I would make him Animal, from the Muppets. Being a knitter, I decided to knit a beenie-style hat out of fun fur. Well, that was a pain in the ass. But well worth the effort, because I love my lil man's costume!
