So  I received an awesome Angel package from Miss Barbara!

All the goods together! (A sweet pink lunchbag with flower buttons sewn on, some rad stickers, a cute candy box, a lemon notepad, some adorable art from her daughter, a few little erasers and this

(he's holding an apple!)

and a cute backside shot

*can't figure out why the images won't rotate....sorry for the crooked necks*

Thank you so much Miss Barbara! I love it all.

Oh and before I forget she got my son the cutest little monster stuffie where you can rearrange all the body parts however you want! He of course snagged it before I could get a decent shot!

23  Nothing too Fancy...Minnie Mouse in Needlework: Completed Projects by seabound23 on: July 13, 2011 11:15:26 AM
Just wanted to whip something up for my BFF who lives in Chicago, but is kinda homesick for Florida. I was sending her a little package with some Florida things she loves, Disney being one of them. So now here's.....

Minnie! Done all in satin stitch with a backstitch outline on the bow with 3 strands of floss. It's on a small 3 inch hoop so it only took about an hour to whip up (with a snack break or two!)

Wow I haven't checked the gallery in a bit (been kinda crazy lately) and all these cards are awesome! Although the pole dancing little person might be the most original/AWESOME thing I've seen in awhile!

So I received my super awesome ATC card from gozer a few days ago, just haven't gotten around to posting a pic. The theme she picked (which might be my favorite one!) was circus sideshow stuff from the 19th century.

Oh my goodness it's a Snake Woman!!! I just love it! She even said she tried to make it look like the old time posters, and I think she did an amazing job. Thank you so much gozer!!! Grin

25  Re: One Tiny Alice In Wonderland Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by seabound23 on: June 30, 2011 03:45:06 PM
So  iliveonarainbow sent me a pretty awesome package!

This is the first thing I opened

and I immediately started singing the "painting the roses red" song in my head
(and when I later read her note that's exactly what she called it!) I'm not big on jewelry but I haven't taken this off since I opened it! I just love it.

then I found this

a teatime bookmark!

a close up of the charms

and finally

a super awesome hoop with one of my favorite quotes!

All the loot together.

I love everything and couldn't have asked for a better partner! Thanks so much iliveonarainbow!  Cheesy

26  It's a flower in Needlework: Completed Projects by seabound23 on: June 30, 2011 03:38:32 PM
So my partner in the OTT Alice swap received. She said she loved the scene in the cartoon Disney Alice with all the flowers, so I gave her one of the flowers!

I added violet felt for the face and worked in a mixture of satin stitch and backstitch. It's probably the longest I've spent on an embroidery project (which isn't saying much because I haven't done that many!) but it took about 3 1/2 hours of stitching. Seemed like longer because I work so much I just had to stitch whenever I had free time and wasn't running after my son!

So I asked TinkStar390 if she would like me to post pics because she's unable to access her camera, etc. right now. She received her ninni and said it brightened her day. I'm really glad she liked it. (I did however, forget to take a pic of her back fabric, which is a pretty blue floral print) so without further ado....

28  Squid! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by seabound23 on: September 27, 2010 05:59:45 AM
So this wasn't a stencil, but I figured this was the best place to put this. I free-hand painted this bag for a swap I was just in! It was based off a bag on her wists, and I omitted the wings, because well, feathers just aren't my strength! Hope it's ok to post this here!

29  wrist warmers in Knitting: Completed Projects by seabound23 on: September 21, 2010 11:39:38 AM
Nothing exciting, I've been lost in swap land/new job/new semester at school land.....this was a set of wristwarmers (my first pair) I made for my first swap a few months ago. Just a simple 2x2 rib then sewn together.

With every little project I do I get more gutsy to try bigger and more challenging projects. Smiley

30  Re: Cephalopod swap! in The Swap Gallery by seabound23 on: September 16, 2010 09:57:31 AM
So I have the best swap partner EVER!  Grin I got my package today, and because I couldn't wait to get it off my porch, my dogs caused a commotion waking up my son and cutting into my valuable peace and quiet time. But it was soooo worth it! Thanks so much Mizz Kodak!

A super cute apron!

An awesome tote

The cutest cross stitch for my son (the glass broke but that's easily fixable!  Smiley )

And then, a cute decoupaged composition book (I was actually in the market for a new knitting notebook and she didn't even know!) A knitted octopus pillow guy (so soft) and the neatest fish (I'm assuming because I'm a pisces) along with some tats (which my son loves!) and a jar, that I presume has a cephalopod of some sort, but the water got murky Undecided. Still awesome though!

now I have major swap anxiety...not sure if mine's going to measure up! Thanks again for everything!
