I have also made a ton of these envelopes from magazines, but usually just use them myself.  I was wondering how you secure the back flap?  I slap a packing label on the front for the address and use tape, but I have considered selling them and wanted to try and figure out a classier way of sealing the envelope... maybe double sided tape?
2  UNITED STATES / Colorado / A FREE place to hosting a crafting group... on: December 15, 2009 10:07:29 AM
I have been searching for a place to host my new crafting group on Wednesday Nights, 7pm-ish.  We want to start holding classes.  I would like to be somewhere near Downtown Denver because it seems more central for everyone, and well we need a big table so most coffee shops won't do.  Any ideas??

Ouch, Fort Collins is a bit of a drive!  I have started a Meetup.com group for anyone interested in joining... it makes scheduling and emailing nd whatnot WAY simpler!

I actually posted a couple ads on craigslist too and have already gotten like 5 emails!  I figured I will wait out this week, and once I know the kind of group we are looking at maybe send out an email this next weekend for all of us to meetup somewhere and go over ideas for exactly what we want to do.  It will most likely be south denver/centennial area because that is what I know best, but I think depending on where "everyone" is from we can adjust the location.  Feel free to send me a personal message and we can trade non-craftster contact info.

Ciao!

Hello All!

I am a local South Denver Crafter looking for others of my kind that would like to join a crafting group. My Grandmother meets once a month with a group of ladies that have been getting together for over 20 years! Every month one person is in charge of introducing a new "craft" or technique, and they learn, laugh, and just have fun together. I want to start something like this for my generation (25ish-35ish), with crafts that are a bit more up to date than your everyday doily; however I am not opposed to bringing back hand knit wash rags or homemade swifter covers!

Things I currently make are guitar pick jewelry, bottle cap jewelry/magnets, record bowls, scarflettes, covered flasks, altered tee-shirts, etc. I am interested in learning more about felting, clay beads, glass etching, etc. I also LOVE to upcycle things and look for new ways to re-use things.

I was looking into starting a meetup.com group but wanted to throw this out there first to get an idea of the interest level. And who knows, if all goes well and people are interested perhaps we could do a couple craft shows and make some money

If you are interested or have any ideas I would love to hear from you!

Ciao!
