1  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Red wine & Champaigne scarf on: March 03, 2011 07:46:16 PM
This is one of 5 scarves I wove for gifts.  I gave the others away without taking photos.

(my loom is my favorite place to take photos)

The warp is a white-gold rayon with lots o slub.  The weft is three yarns wound onto the bobbin as one - a cotton, a rayon, and a cotton.

These were fast to make, after warping it only took about an hour or so a scarf... which is why it took 3 months to weave.   Wink

2  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / New pick up project on: April 14, 2010 12:40:41 PM
I'm in the middle of 2 large weaving projects, so I decided to take a weaving break, and do something quick on the inkle loom.

This is a close up of the pattern.  The pick up pattern is from the andies and is a repeating pattern of Xs and Ox.  The pattern was meant to be alternating pick up,  but I warped for basket weave pick-up.  Whoops.
