1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help on making this top on: April 15, 2012 02:44:53 AM
Hi all,

I've been having a browse about and have found this gorgeous top (first image on the main post) made by Craftster KatyKamikazi and would love to have a go at making something similar (minus the slashed back) as I have the perfect rockabilly material to go with it!

Trouble is I'm a complete n00b to making clothes  Embarrassed Embarrassed and so need a bit of guidance on how to make the pattern to create something like this.

Thank you for reading & happy crafting!

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Cupcake Cushion Covers on: April 13, 2012 01:09:33 AM
Hi all!

This is my first proper post with a completed project woo hoo!

Basically I wanted to find a gorgeous material to make some cushion covers to go with our black / grey sofa. It's the first proper sewing machine project I've done since my mother in law bought me a sewing machine for Christmas and I'm very pleased with how they came out.

I followed a envelope cushion tutorial on youtube and it was so easy I made the other 3 on my own! *beams*

If anyone wants to know; the material is from Michael Miller

Anyway here's the results!

7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Discussion and Questions / Repainting (noob help!) on: August 30, 2011 03:58:06 AM
Hi all!

After getting completely overwhelmed at Hobbycraft earlier looking at all sorts of paints and other sparkly delights I thought it be best to come ask you talented people for a bit of advice and guidance!

I've two (of what I'm guessing) ceramic dishes which I'd like to repaint, I have no idea of what kind of paints / technique I need to use, both dishes seem to have a gloss coat on them - so I guess my questions are a) is it at all possible to repaint these? And b) if so what steps do I need to take? Also I should point out that these dishes are to use in the kitchen so have to be food friendly paint etc etc

Thank you for reading and happy crafting!  Cheesy

9  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Help needed to make Chocolate Steampunk Cogs / Gears on: November 08, 2010 02:36:10 PM
Hiya all!

I've set myself a bit of a challenge to make my boyfriend a steampunk cake for his birthday, I'm on the look out for some sort of mould to create some chocolate gears or cogs etc. I have been searching all over the internet and ebay (UK) and haven't managed to find anything!

Ideally i'd want to just be able to buy the mould ive seen tutorials for how to make your own moulds but i dont really have the money to but all the equipment to be able to to that *sigh* so i'm just wondering if any craftsters could point me in the right direction?

Thank you for reading my post & happy crafting! xxx
