51  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Anti Valentine's Day Bloody Heart Chocolate on: February 09, 2005 01:13:07 AM
Hey guys, wanted to contribute to the "Anti-Valentine's Day" craft.  Milk chocolate heart filled with caramel, I made the caramel and then molded the chocolates (you can tell I did them cause they're a little smooshy).  Then, a cute little dagger I made myself stabbed into the heart, and bleeding red chocolate.  I made a bunch of these and they're Valentine's Day presents for ally my buddies.  I'm super proud of the way they turned out.

52  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Meredith the Crazy Knitter on: February 04, 2005 02:23:45 PM
Just thought I'd regale you guys with a little story.

I'm doing my local stitch and bitch Wednesday nights.  Last week, I started talking about how I had bought my knitting needles at Walmart (I know, evil, but I'm sooooo poor right now) and how I didn't really see anything wrong with metal needles OR with acrylic yarn.  I got really enthusiastic about it, which I think they may have taken as crazy, and now I think they're all a little scared of me. =)
53  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Hedwig and the Angry Inch swap on: January 29, 2005 01:25:02 AM
Do enough people love this movie as much as I do to do a Hedwig swap? It would be my first swap to organize, and I love it enough to do it!  But only if there's interest.
54  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Broken windshield glass.. on: January 12, 2005 04:11:51 PM
So here's the thing.  My car got broken into and my ipod got stolen (so sad) but I'm trying to make the best of the situation.  I know that it's dangerous, and I'd definitely wear gloves to protect myself, but I was wondering if you guys can think of anything to do with the shattered glass.  There's tons of tiny little chunks, and not only am I gonna save some for sentimental value (I'm weird like that) it would be fun to do crafts with some of them.  So... ideas?
55  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Zodiac Swap on: December 26, 2004 06:30:47 PM
Didn't see one so I thought I'd be the first to post!

I got an awesome little package from ForevrBee.  A cute little bear doll, a nifty wristband, and some little charm-ma-bobbers.  Love the colors!

58  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / A bead question... on: August 22, 2004 02:32:40 PM
Anybody know what would happen if I pressed seed beeds into sculpey and baked them?  They'd only be in the heat for 3-4 minutes.
59  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / to cut or not to cut? on: March 03, 2004 08:07:26 PM
so this is really an opinion asking thread.  i bought two playboys from a thrift store, one from 1965 and one from 1970.  they're very very cool - lots of awesome articles and lots of cool images.  there's these images of a woman posing with a lion skin rug, and i love them, and i want to cut them out and do something awesome with them.  but there's the question - cut up these cool old magazines or leave them whole?  what good are they doing me whole?  or does it ruin the coolness of them to cut them up? ahhhh inner turmoil.
help!
