Hi!!!
Just wanted to share this refashion I did on a fave pair of pants.
I bought these on sale. They were a pair of Baby Phat slacks. I LOVED THEM! The only problem is I am short and they were way to long for me. I needed them hemmed and it is hard to hem pants by yourself. So, I took them to get hemmed. I had already washed them once when I bought them. I have some great heels that I love to wear when the weather is nice enough. I like to get my pants hemmed just a teeny bit shorter than normal so I can show off the shoes too. Well, I got them hemmed and wore them the next day. I washed them and hung them in the closet for the next time. A couple of weeks later I go to put them on and they had shrunk!!!! Not a lot, but enough that they were too short!!! It looked really dorky! I was so upset!!! Anyway, they hung in my closet for a few months.............
......until I got the inspiration to refashion them!!!
I completely undid the inseam. Sewed them with a top stitch front and back. I tried it on and put a pin where I wanted the hem to be. I moved the pin down about an inch from there. I just did a regular hem on it. My pencil skirt was made! I had a friend come over yesterday and I showed her the skirt. She didn't even know I had refashioned it!! LOL I do have to say, though, that the fabric stretches, but not a whole lot. I had a time getting into my truck with heels and a pencil skirt on!!!
I don't have any before or during pics of this project!! Sorry!! and please, please excuse how I look in this pic. I VERY rarely take a decent picture!!!!!!!
Since I can't post a pic in here until I have posted 10 times, I am going to give a link:

I am very new to these forums so if it doesn't work, please let me know!!!
Thanks so much!!!
