1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Next felt-along? on: October 26, 2009 06:52:23 AM
Count me in if anyone organizes another felt-along. I've never done this, but I'm excited to learn and be inspired. If organizing this requires a lot of work, I'd be happy to help. I don't know how to do it, since I've only been a member of this site for one day!
2  New York / New York: Central / Any fellow crafters in the Ithaca area? on: October 25, 2009 01:29:56 PM
I am a lifelong crafter, a single mom, and currently an online college student living in Ithaca, NY. I am really interested in starting a small crafting group for mutual inspiration, friendship and crafting meet-ups--maybe even some fun trading options.

Any takers?  I'm happy to do the initial organizing if I can find any other interested peoples.

Thanks, Beadfreak22 (sometimes known as Lisa)

Where are ya?  I'm in Ithaca, which is about an hour south of Syracuse and two hours southeast of Rochester. I'm dying to find other peeps in my area who would like to get together occasionally and inspire each other.

I do more types of crafting than I care to list here, but my biggest ones right now are beadwork (a lifetime favorite), needle felting (a new obsession), and collage (don't feel real confident here, but I want to work on it some more).

Happy stitching/gluing/slicing/etc.

Wow Hillie, you should be proud of yourself. The purse is gorgeous! I especially like the color combo. -Beadfreak22
