1  Re: Poppet Mini Swap Round Six GALLERY in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Bobbysgirl on: June 19, 2014 04:52:52 PM
I received the most awesomest poppet ever from Sharalee. She sent me a Rose from Doctor Who!! My husband who doesn't even watch Doctor Who knew it was her as soon as I pulled her out of the box. I love her, thank you so much!!!

She's already right at home with a Tenth Doctor I received in another swap, so she's quite happy Smiley
(Check out the little rose on her pants!!)

I didn't realize her necklace got turned backwards, I was having too much fun posing them together!
She also came with another pair of pants. Again, thank you so so much!!

2  Walking Dead Felt Coasters in Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects by Bobbysgirl on: June 11, 2014 07:26:33 PM
I made a set of these for a swap and had a friend fall in love with them, so I ended up making a second set. Each one is machine embroidered on white felt, then stitched to the black felt. They are slightly over 4 inches square each.

Carl, Rick, and Glenn

3  Re: Surviving The Walking Dead Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Bobbysgirl on: May 27, 2014 05:05:34 PM
Here are the items that I received from AttieNichole. The Walkers must have attacked my postman, but luckily everything was still in there. In part because everything was inside this awesome bag-

I usually have a notebook and pen with me everywhere I go, and it's the perfect size - and it even came with my very own Rick notebook

There was also Hershel's first aid kit (which is missing a couple of the bandaids and sponges because my little one claimed them as soon as we opened it, and a deck of cards that Beth or Daryl snatched from the Country Club. Each card has different quote on it. My husband said now we can play cards, and earn bonus points for naming the episode the quote is from. I haven't read all of them yet, but I've showed a couple of my favorites so far.

Thank you for everything.

4  David Tennant/10th Doctor quilt (wip) in Quilting: Completed Projects by Bobbysgirl on: March 10, 2014 07:09:15 PM
So... I saw a David Tennant pixel quilt online (and am only slightly obsessed with Doctor Who - the 10th Doctor in particular) and thought that I just had to have one. I've never made a quilt before, but have always wanted one. I figured it couldn't be too hard to do since it's all the same size squares. 4800 one inch squares later and my first quilt top was done. I still have to get the batting and backing, and then quilt it together, so it's not really done but I just couldn't help showng it off a little bit Smiley

I haven't measured it yet, but it should be 80x60 inches. But I have learned that I cannot sew a straight line for anything Smiley
My four year old is just off to the side to give you some reference of size.

The further away you are, the better you can tell who it is. I found a picture of him online and charted it in a cross stitch pattern maker. Lowered it down to the lowest number of colors that still allowed you to tell who it was and then went fabric shopping. There are 9 different colors. There are a couple I would change if I made another one, and it would have looked a lot better the more colors added, but this was a budget quilt.

And here is a link to the quilt that inspired me-

5  One Direction Ceiling Fan in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Bobbysgirl on: January 03, 2014 08:40:39 AM
So my teenage daughter is obsessed with One Direction, and my mother in law just moved and took down her plain beige ceiling fan. She gave it to us so I painted it up for my daughter as one of her Christmas presents. Two blades have the band name, and the other two have the logo. We used Harry and Louis small dolls as the pull chains. Although you can't really see it when it's on, around the globe I copied their autographs. She loves it, so mission accomplished!

6  Re: Geeky Christmas Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Bobbysgirl on: January 03, 2014 08:14:35 AM
Here is most of what I received from stillatthetop. Two of the ornaments she made have gone missing - hopefully in the process of packingup Christmas stuff we will find it because I know my little one has just stuck them somewhere in the house!

A makeup bag and box wallet she made for my daughter. There were also some perfume and nailpolish things in there which she snatched before I could take pics!

The awesome felt tree and ornaments she made for my son.

Close up of the Hedwig ornament she made me that the little one stole for his tree.

And his favorite - the dragon!

The zombie bear for my husband - which I haven't stuffed in the picture yet, some candy, a kitty toy for the cat, and another shot of Hedwig and the family ornament she sent.

She also sent a football ornament for my son as well as an army bandage. He took both of those with him to his dad's and hasn't come home yet, but he loves them!

Thanks for everything, and sorry for taking so long to post pics!

Here are the items I sent to stillatthestop. First is a group shot of all the little extras (the half human half dinosaur foot in the corner belongs to me though)-

Next is a wood burning of Pennywise, but it looked to plain so I added the color to it-

The Spongebob tote and little pouch -

And the Worm from Labyrinth (following the tutorial postedon craftster by Foxyblue)-

I'm so glad you liked everything stillatthetop. I also received an awesome package from her today, but since there were two wrapped items for my older kids that won't be home until tomorrow, I'm waiting until then to post pictures of everything together. Let me just say in advance - it's wonderful!! [img]

8  Turkey Hat! in Crochet: Completed Projects by Bobbysgirl on: November 09, 2013 01:25:56 PM
I needed something for my 3 year old to wear on Thanksgiving this year, and what's better than a turkey? My husband doesn't like the braids, I think they are adorable (he thinks that they make it too girly). But since I make it, they're on there Smiley

I used the pattern here - http://stitch11.com/gobble-gobble/ except I did an extra row of hdc in yellow around the bottom. I also didn't have any buttons, so I just did the black part of the eyes in yarn too. He likes it and has been running around saying "Gobble, Gobble!" since he put it on Smiley

9  Re: One Tiny Holiday Ornament Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Bobbysgirl on: October 22, 2013 07:34:57 AM
Here are the ornaments I sent stillatthetop. First off the snowman Smiley

The extra is supposed to be a Santa, and it was really hard to get a picture where his face showed up.

And lastly she said he daughter liked Harry Potter so I sent her a snitch ornament.

I'm glad you liked them. My son fell in love with the snowman so I had to make him one too Smiley

I received the other day from stillatthetop, and it's awesome! I told her that our tree consists of mostly Doctor Who and Harry Potter typed ornaments, so she made me the most amazing miniature Tardis stocking ornament!

Then for extras she sent a 3-d star ornament-

The cutest little reindeer ornament-

And for my son she sent a dragon ATC (he's obsessed with them, and has been carrying this around since he got it) with little clothespins so he can hand it on the tree too if he wants.

On our questionnaires we both said that we didn't particularly care for the color orange. And wouldn't you know she stuck a teeny ting orange in the toe of the stocking. Cracked me up, and now my husband thinks we are both a bit crazy! Thanks again for everything stillatthetop, and I hope yours gets there soon!
