3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / The N shirt on: August 10, 2005 08:47:41 PM
Here's my awesome-o shirt that I stencilled. It was really just something of a practice run [I used an old shirt that I wore in printmaking, so those are just your run of the mill ink stains] but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!  Cheesy Just I thought I'd share the joy with everyone else. Also, disregard my stripey bra.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Fabric suggestions on: June 05, 2005 05:27:33 PM
I've had this fabric for awhile [probably a decade] but I'm not really sure what to do with it. It's originally from a vintage bride's maid's dress cape thingy from the 60's. I made a head scarf from part of it back in high school, but I still have more and was wondering any ideas as to how I should use it. Unfortunately, it doesn't photograph well [please ignore me hiding behind it!] It's aqua/light blue and white floral print. It's really cute. Please help! Thank!  Grin

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / I glued injured thumb to project on: June 02, 2005 09:33:04 PM
I'm an art education student at UF and my first semester (2 years ago) I cut myself with my DULL xacto knife during my sculpture class. For the assignment, I was constructing a (somewhat smaller) chair frame out of glue sticks. After I cut a chunk of my thumb off and had it treated and wrapped in a mass of gauze, I was finishing the project by hot gluing the various components together. In the process, I hot glued my thumb to the chair form but didn't realize for awhile until the hot glue seeped in the bandages.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Green bracelets on: April 26, 2005 12:14:42 AM
I've been wanting to work with chunky beads for awhile, but was worried about my creations breaking and falling all over the floor or something. Anyway, I decided tonight to do it anyway and here's the result!
Here it is being modeled by my wrist:

I made three of these: one for myself, one for my sister, one for my mom. I got bored and discovered that I could connect them into a choker       and a long necklace

Okay, kinda silly, I know. Sorry the pictures aren't the best quality. . . yeah.  Cheesy
