I was in a wedding this summer and it was outdoors, near a barn and a river, so it was obviously beautiful. The bride is a professional event planner, so of course she had a theme, which was pretty much everything "country" and "farm". My favorite part of the decorations were the placecards, which I helped with. She just used basic cardstock and wrote the names/ table numbers on folded cards. Then she put a fake flower through a hole. Not only could you identify your table by the number, but also by the type of flower, because there was a bouquet of each type of fake flower at the table, identifying it. (Are you following me here, I think I'm babbling).
Then, we put the placecards in alphabetical order and clothes pinned them onto a tweed line, setup in rows, across a giant wooden panel painted the same color as our bridesmaid dresses.
It was gorgeous!
