I just got the same exact camera and I've been looking everywhere for a cute camera bag...thanks for the inspiration!

Hi everyone!
I was just wondering what the final dimensions of the bag are and how much fabric was used. I'm making a trip to NYC in a few weeks and this bag would be PERFECT! I love it!
Thanks,

Well, I have knee-high boots so I'm going to make boot covers.
Just trying to think of the best way to make them. I'll probably just make a tube, try it on inside out, and then fit it a little better.
We'll see how it goes...

I really can't wait to see how yours turns out!
I've seen a couple other people's versions of this costumes and they were pretty good. I really wasn't impressed with the actual costume they have for sale everywhere.
I'm a little behind on it right now. My fiance's birthday was yesterday and I've been spending all my extra time this past week on his present!
Hopefully, I can get everything done in time! I'm still trying to figure out in my head how to make the boot covers...shouldn't be too hard, right?
Anyways...can't wait to see!

Okay...so I thought I'd post a couple in progress pics...
This is what I have so far.
 I didn't make the gloves.
So, I have a long sleeve yellow top (neckline is unfinished because I need to add the collar.
Corset is made of black costume pleather with a zipper instead of laces.
Now, in photos of Silk Spectre II, her corset mirrors the fabric underneath.
THIS is what will come next. Or most likely, after I've made the black suit part.
I'm going to be hot glueing remnant pieces of my yellow top to mirror what will be underneath.

Anyways, please forgive the horrible camera phone shot and my obvious lack of photo editing software. I'm at work and using MS Paint lol. And sorry there's only links to the pics...I need 6 more posts before I can post pictures!  Undecided

Actually, that's pretty much exactly what I'm doing! Yellow bodysuit with the zipper and collar and then the black suit piece will be separate. I also still have to figure out how I'm going to make the boot tops though. I have knee-high boots but I definately need them thigh-high...so that's another part I need to sort through.
Lots of trial and error on this costume...ended up making a corset about 5 different ways before I stumbled across that tutorial I posted.
There also isn't a whole lot of pictures of the back of her outfit either. Her hair gets in the way!

Good luck! Wink

I'm making a Silk Spectre II costume, too!
Her outfit is basically a yellow bodysuit with a black altered bathing suit over it. And if you look close enough, she's actually wearing a corset that mirrors the fabric underneath.
I'm using a few reconstructed yellow XL men's shirts I found at H&M that were on clearance. I made a long sleeve shirt and then I'm going to make a pair of shorts. The black that I'm using is some black costume pleather I found at Joann Fabrics for 1/2 off. I made a zip-up corset out of the black material already basically following this tutorial but without the cinching. http://shinyshiny.wordpress.com/2009/10/09/diy-corset-tut-1/  I ended up with two trapezoids that I sewed together.
I have alot of work ahead of me still but I'm liking how it's turning out...will definately post it here when I'm done!
But I found this site kind of helpful...it gave me a few good ideas and some of the pictures on her site show some alternate angles of the costume...
