1  Re: Book of Shadows Swap Round 2 in The Swap Gallery by Vecrutzi on: June 22, 2012 02:33:42 PM
Hey there, sorry it took me so long to post pics, I was just finishing up college! Blessed Midsummer everyone, here's what I received from Fosca!

Here's the actually book itself, a pair of stones and another on a necklace, a set of witchy postcards and some yummy incense! The incense actually made my cat a little crazy, which was fun.

She made a sticker of my avatar to put on the cover (I do belive she hand-made the book, too!)

It's filled with beautiful illustrations she printed out and bound in, as well as lots of wonderful info and hand-drawn illustrations.

There is also tons of space left for me, and she scattered the pictures and infor through-out the book, so I had to flip through every page to find it all! It was wonderful.

She also sent me a very nice dream catcher and protection charm, both of which are hanging over my bed now Smiley

Thanks for being such a great partner Fosca!

Hey guys! Sorry it took me so long to post pics of what Alchamy513 sent, but I was finishing my finals for college. Now that I'm all done, I can pass on the pretty!

First off, some mugs she wrote on, which are magically dishwasher safe? I'm not sure what she used but it's cool. The quotes are the Wheel of Time opening, and the Aiel promise.

Next is a nice green shawl she crocheted for me. I can't crochet at all, and I've never owned a shawl, but I kind of think I like them now. I wore it to school and was told I looked like a woodland fairy.    ...    I'll take it!

And lastly my favourite. She also crocheted me a dragon! He's super cute with his little bulbous nose! And a hand-written version of the same Aiel promise as is on my mug.

Thanks Alchamy513!

3  Re: Hand-Carved Stamp Swap--Round 4 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Vecrutzi on: June 22, 2012 02:03:24 PM
Hey guys!

Sorry it took so long to get this up here, I received from Kmichele_craftyface yesterday, and IdlersDesign the day before that, but I finished my final exams yesterday, so it was a wee bit hectic.

Here are my awesome stamps from Idler's Design!

The rebel insignia from StarWars and a Cthulu snuggling a pentacle! They're both really well done, and I love the rubber they're on! The won't even need to be mounted Smiley The Cthulu looks so cute, he makes me giggle. She also included a mountain of stickers too! I didn't get a pic, but it looks like they're the stampings of stamps she sent to other people in this swap.

And here is my beautiful stamp from Kmichele_craftyface! It's the wheel of time symbol which is an Oroboros in the infinity shape threaded through a wheel, with a gorgeous spear and ribbon in the background. Definitely the most intricate stamp I've ever received, it's beautiful! Particularly appropriate as I'm just finishing organizing a WOT swap Tongue She also sent me a mustachioed inchie, which I don't have a pic of, but I assure you it's very cute.

Great pieces ladies! I can't wait to get both of yours sent out now that I have time!

I received from Jexxican today, and she sent me a whole lot of awesome.

Apparently originally she made me a tetris set but didn't like it, so she made me some mustaches to replace them!

Now first off, any issues like dots were my fault, her stamps were perfect. And second, the tetris is sweet! Not that I'm complaining about mustaches either. I can envision a whole set of stationairy, with each piece with a different tetris block on it.

And this is what I did the second I opened my package up. I've always wanted this as a tattoo, I got to test it out!

Thanks so much Jexxican! Yours will be on their way soon hopefully.

7  Virgo and a pair of sexy sweaters! *Pic Heavy* in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Vecrutzi on: April 25, 2012 09:05:06 PM
Hi guys!

I'm just finishing up my second year at fashion college in Toronto, and I thought I'd share some of the things I've been working on!

Craftster has been such a fun time, and has inspired me to keep sewing and creating even when I was exhausted, so I'm putting these up as a thank you, for all the support of the fantastic people on this forum Smiley

This was a project for a knitwear class, we had a week to be taught how to sew skirt/sweats/sweater or whatever it was, design our own interpretation of it, and hand a completed garment, pattern and technical sketch in the next week! Phew!

My lovely model is wearing a pair of biker shorts I also made underneath, since it really is a shirt. The fabric is a loose knit sweater fabric, with a gold thread running through.

This next one was also a knitwear project, where we had to make a boat neck sweater.

There are also small gold studs along the front neck and the cuff in place of buttons. And then the real drama is in the back!

A nice big cowl with gold chains strung across it! This is my personal favorite knitwear project, I wear it all the time, and it fits me, even though I'm double the size of my model! (She's a 6, I'm a 12)

This next one was for a contest I did at the start of school. 12 students were given the twelve signs of the zodiac, and we had to design and create an outfit with a $300 gift card from Fabricland.

This is Virgo!

All the skirt pieces were cut individually from a combination of organza, lace, tulle and chiffon; which were then hemmed and joined into the corset along with a super poufy petticoat. There are also inset bra-cups, because my runway model was lacking in the breast department.  It also had a bolero that went with it:

The jacket is essentially a bolero, with a giant ruffle.
If you really like it, and want to see the runway shots at the contest, or some of the other entries, you can go here:   http://www.catwalkcure.ca/photogalleries/pbalinksi.html

It's a slideshow on the companies website Smiley

Everything in this post was designed, drafted and sewn by me, so please ask my permission if you want to reproduce any of my work, and please don't sell copies of my garments.

If anybody would like to know how I did a specific thing, or a close-up of any details, I can add them in. Smiley

10  Re: Stuff an Envelope Swap (INTERNATIONAL) (sendouts by 30/1) GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Vecrutzi on: January 20, 2012 02:31:31 PM
Two envelopes from special_occasion in a row in the gallery!

I received last night, and my landlord brought the envelope to me. I haven't had any mail since I moved into my new apartment, so he wasn't quite sure what to do with it. Super excited for finally getting mail, and doubly so because it's awesome mail!

Here are all my fabulous Aussie goodies from special_occasion

My envelope was full of cool stuff,  postcards from her homeland of Tazmania! (Way too cool, I wish I was from somewhere neat like Tazmania) Stamps from around the world (She didn't know, but I collect stamps), beads, a set of dart fins and some yummy smelling tea. It also had this cool bookmark of a 'sheila's' phrases!

Special_occasion also made me a cool bookmark in my favourite colours. Now I just have to convince my cats it is NOT a playboy for them and belongs in my books.

Thanks Special_occasion, you were an excellent swap partner Smiley
