1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Zombie face on: January 25, 2013 08:24:03 AM
This is my first attempt at Zombie makeup. My son wore it for over 12 hours! We got up early so he could wear to school on Oct. 31st and have it on for the night too to scare the heck out of all the kiddies that came around.

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Witch's Cabinet (a little pic heavy) on: February 21, 2012 09:27:03 AM
I was inspired by this cupboard made by jennieingram for Knickertwist link here
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=393630.0

So I made one for a friend for her birthday. I'm taking it to her today but I thought I'd post it up here before I go.

On the front is a Mirror Chant that I wrote for her to use. On the inside we find: three books~Spells, Potions, and BOS. I even included a few spells and potions but I left the BOS blank so she could fill it in herself. There are ten bottles in all and they are~Rat Tails, Lavender, Rose Petals, Salt, Dragon Scales, Star Dust, Eye of Newt, Liquid Luck (borrowed from our good friend Harry Potter lol), Peppermint, and Phoenix Tears. Also I've included a Seashell, two Scrolls, Casting Bones, a Scrying Crystal and full deck of mini Tarot Cards.
C & C welcome. Thanks for looking.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / "The Hot Glow of Electric Sex" on: January 22, 2012 05:27:56 PM
Isn't that the line in the movie CHRISTMAS STORY
It's one of my hubby's favourite movies and this year my son thought he should have some electric sex of his own, hubby that is. So my then 13 year old son (now 14) set himself a mission. "Dad needs a reading lamp, and what better to read by then a sexy leg?" One day when we were shopping for Halloween goodness at the local Value Village (thirft store) my cell phone went off with the following message "Mum Mum come quick i found it im in furniture!!!!!!!!!" And there I found my boy hugging a leg!

He even tried to build a box for it! He wanted to convince the pizza delivery man to deliver a telegram and the leg on Christmas Day too but I told not to push his luck Smiley

Thanks for looking! As always C&C are welcome and hoped for also, I hope i put this in the right spot it's been so long since I've posted anything!
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Twilighty Goodness Bracelet on: June 04, 2011 12:57:35 PM
Here is a Twilight bracelet I made for my cousin. She picked out the charms, boy did she ever pick out the charms! I hardly had room for beads! I weaved a small red and black chain through the large chain just for s%*ts & giggles but I think it looks neat.
Please forgive the quality of the photos, once she found out it was made I barely had time to take the pictures  Tongue
thanks for looking, c & c always welcome!

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Pricing?? on: March 20, 2011 07:29:40 PM
I have people asking me to make them what I call a "bead buddy", and I'm at a loss for price! In total the supplies for this particular one cost $13.00 rounded up to nearest $. I have no idea how much I should charge people. Any ideas?? Here's the link to the pics here on craftster.

7  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / The Sultan of Agrabah on: March 14, 2011 02:11:12 PM
here is my first attempt at making a costume  Tongue my son was in the school play Aladdin jr. He played the Sultan. I did cheat a bit in certain areas, for example I bought a cumber bun at a second hand store and just covered it with the gold material. But my son was happy and that's what matters. c & c welcome, goodness knows he'll be having me make more as time goes by.  Cheesy

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / house brownie on: March 14, 2011 01:42:41 PM
I found a cool new bead store near my place this past weekend that sells face beads! So naturally I had to try to make a new bead buddy and this is what I ended up with. Behold my new friend, she has yet to tell me her name but I see her a a Brownie-Elf-Sprit type girl, kind of like a house brownie, she's full of character and spunk. She stands 2 inches tall and I have her on a necklace. Can't wait to see what she does fist.

here's a close up of her two, yes I said two faces.

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Alice in Wonderland Bracelet on: January 17, 2011 01:53:59 PM
Well it's been a while since I posted something up here I almost forgot how! Tongue Here is a bracelet inspired by Alice in Wonderland, a story I have loved since I was a child.
The chain is black because that is one of my favourite colours and when I saw it in the store with the inner chain I couldn't pass it up. Also because I think when she falls down the rabbit hole there is a bit a blackness due to knowning, there is actually a lot of that in the story. As well with the weaving of the inner chain, I feel Alice is a story within a story.
There are 12 charms on this bracelet: Alice of course, the white rabbit, the mad hatter's hat, cards, a knight chess piece, the cheshire cat, a mushroom, a heart, a crown, a key, a queen chess piece, and a tea cup.
Thanks for looking! comments, good and bad welcome...anything to help me better my skills  Cheesy
