1  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 90 ENTRIES / Tiny Pizzas :) on: September 09, 2013 12:47:07 PM
I hope this is alright!!

I made mini pizzas, lots recently, to incorporate into my jewellery. These are the size of a ten pence piece, about 2cm x 2cm. This one was eventually used in a necklace. Others in rings....

This is a four seasons pizza Smiley

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Dark roses bracelet on: January 10, 2013 08:03:32 AM
I finished making this today!! Its one of the best things I have made-I think! Smiley

Its made with polymer clay roses and leaves which are all coated in various layers of gloss. The chain is a thicker heavier one and the whole thing is accented by shiny grey beads. What do you think?

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Autumny necklace on: January 05, 2013 10:25:31 AM
This necklace started off as a test of wire techniques and a gothy look and ended up being a gorgeous piece with an autumn feel Smiley The roses are three colours, red, black and mauve and made by hand. There are two colours of wire black and red. The clasp and the chain are hand made by me.

I plan to make more like this in this style anyway but in different colours as I don't have any matching beads for these colours any more. I might play around with different flowers or bigger roses etc. What do you guys think?

4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / A Clay Ratty Pendant on: December 13, 2012 06:50:17 AM
Hello everyone!

Here is a rat pendant made from polymer clay, finished with gloss and tiny diamante shinies, with a hand made blue jump ring on a black cord.

Its for a friend and the rat featured was one of hers. I actually got the idea of doing this from another very crafty and talented friend.

What do you think? I have been working with clay for the last 5 months on and off, making some bits and pieces that I sell but alot more for friends and family. There are a lot of different techniques to learn, and I am in no way a pro!! Hope you like it!!
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My rat bag :) on: March 31, 2011 11:55:17 AM
Hi all,

I got bored of my bag...and it needs a wash, so I made this Smiley Its a simple tote and the design was drawn by me using fabric paint.

Its the first bag I have made that I actually liked! Its made from a strong weave material for the outer (not sure on the blend, it was a remnant but feels like a poly/cotton mix) and cotton lining. The fabric paint is one you paint on, allow to dry and then seal by ironing it. There is no fastening.

Hope you all like it Smiley
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My spring/summer "Enchanted" interpretation on: March 31, 2011 07:50:24 AM
Hi all,

This is my first topic so be gentle Smiley

I've been working on this dress for the past 3 months on and off. Its tailored for a friend as I'm not really the type to wear dresses, but she likes dresses and I like making them

Anyway, this dress is inspired by the Enchanted dress, the one she wears in the "How does she know" sequence (google Enchanted green dress and you'll find it  ) I have been pretty faithful to the original dress, except for ruffled sleeves and the length as we wanted it to be something she could wear rather than just dress up in. So its not a costume, but a nice spring/summer outfit Smiley

Well, here it is   Cheesy Cheesy

The dress is made of a poly cotton mix, the under skirt and lining is just cotton. The detail on the bodice is faithful to the original as is the ribbon. The dress has a 22" concealed zip on the back. Its taken me the best part of 30 hours to complete, along with fittings with my friend. I cant tell you how pleased I was when I had fitted the zip and she tried it on and it fitted

I'd love your comments on it  Grin
7  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Lurked, posted, never introed! :/ on: March 28, 2011 02:49:09 AM
Hi all!!

I am the biggest lurker on here, so many beautiful projects on here and so much inspiration! I have posted here and there, but never introduced myself so "HI"!

I'm a sew-er from the UK. I love making anything with fabric, my sewing machine is my best friend! I do some art work, although I'm not terribly good at it, something which I hope to improve.

I'm looking forward to lurking a bit more and when I have finished the two projects I am working on at the moment, to post them and get some CC. Thanks all, see you on the boards!

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Need some ideas about a bag please. on: August 27, 2010 02:06:05 PM
Hiya,

I am trying to make my mum a bag that is not novelty but has guinea pigs as a main theme. I know the style of the bag that I will make but am stuck on the material. Ideally, I wanted to buy some material with guinea pigs on but I can't find anything in the UK stores or the US online stores!! So any ideas on what I could do or use?

The bag will be a simple oblong bag with a single small shoulder strap attached with silver rings (or copper depending on the final materials shade) and over flap covering the top of the bag, locking with a magnetic notion or a buckle (havent quite decided...I may just use the buckle as a decorative). I was thinking of using a plain looking material and perhaps using fabric paint, just paint her guinea pigs on the front...but I'm not keen on that idea, although if it was done well it would look great!

Anyway, if you guys have any other suggestions about what I could do, that would be most helpful so thanks in advance Smiley
