This necklace started off as a test of wire techniques and a gothy look and ended up being a gorgeous piece with an autumn feel The roses are three colours, red, black and mauve and made by hand. There are two colours of wire black and red. The clasp and the chain are hand made by me.
I plan to make more like this in this style anyway but in different colours as I don't have any matching beads for these colours any more. I might play around with different flowers or bigger roses etc. What do you guys think?
Here is a rat pendant made from polymer clay, finished with gloss and tiny diamante shinies, with a hand made blue jump ring on a black cord.
Its for a friend and the rat featured was one of hers. I actually got the idea of doing this from another very crafty and talented friend.
What do you think? I have been working with clay for the last 5 months on and off, making some bits and pieces that I sell but alot more for friends and family. There are a lot of different techniques to learn, and I am in no way a pro!! Hope you like it!!
I got bored of my bag...and it needs a wash, so I made this Its a simple tote and the design was drawn by me using fabric paint.
Its the first bag I have made that I actually liked! Its made from a strong weave material for the outer (not sure on the blend, it was a remnant but feels like a poly/cotton mix) and cotton lining. The fabric paint is one you paint on, allow to dry and then seal by ironing it. There is no fastening.
I've been working on this dress for the past 3 months on and off. Its tailored for a friend as I'm not really the type to wear dresses, but she likes dresses and I like making them
Anyway, this dress is inspired by the Enchanted dress, the one she wears in the "How does she know" sequence (google Enchanted green dress and you'll find it ) I have been pretty faithful to the original dress, except for ruffled sleeves and the length as we wanted it to be something she could wear rather than just dress up in. So its not a costume, but a nice spring/summer outfit
Well, here it is
The dress is made of a poly cotton mix, the under skirt and lining is just cotton. The detail on the bodice is faithful to the original as is the ribbon. The dress has a 22" concealed zip on the back. Its taken me the best part of 30 hours to complete, along with fittings with my friend. I cant tell you how pleased I was when I had fitted the zip and she tried it on and it fitted
I am trying to make my mum a bag that is not novelty but has guinea pigs as a main theme. I know the style of the bag that I will make but am stuck on the material. Ideally, I wanted to buy some material with guinea pigs on but I can't find anything in the UK stores or the US online stores!! So any ideas on what I could do or use?
The bag will be a simple oblong bag with a single small shoulder strap attached with silver rings (or copper depending on the final materials shade) and over flap covering the top of the bag, locking with a magnetic notion or a buckle (havent quite decided...I may just use the buckle as a decorative). I was thinking of using a plain looking material and perhaps using fabric paint, just paint her guinea pigs on the front...but I'm not keen on that idea, although if it was done well it would look great!
Anyway, if you guys have any other suggestions about what I could do, that would be most helpful so thanks in advance
