Is it crazy to want a mod podge tutorial?

I'd love to know what techniques people use. For example, every craft instruction tells me to sand it to make it smooth between layers but what grit? 1500 is too fine. I learned that yesterday.

Also, if you sand it does that make it less tacky? Because I've been spraying a very light layer of acrylic sealer over projects to keep it from becoming soft/tacky.

I'm actually obsessed with old LP art and with making these but I don't cover an existing journal I make one.

I cut the album down and mod podge it to make it glossy/keep it from scuffing further --  I'm still learning to perfect this and would love some advice on what grit sanding to use with mod podge. I use the back cover of the album for the back of the journal.

I then select some acid-free cardstock to create the pages and take it to Kinko's or Staples for binding. They've messed up several of mine so be as specific as possible with the person doing the binding.

I love marbles & magnets so I have a TON of these. I've noticed that simple patterns seem to go over big with my friends and they always want those.

Is there a certain thread/area where we could talk about crafts seen on recent craft shows (Martha, etc.) or just to discuss those shows? I'm also very curious what shows people watch, if any, and how they feel about them. Or should we just put relevant crafts in their specific area?

Either way, this is a great and well organized site. I love well-organized message boards!
