I just had to say that I love your name! SVH forevah!

Oh, I'm so sorry, Jenny! I love your portraits of your parents and I am hoping to have the skills to (someday!) create a memorial to my own father and other family members I've lost.

My thoughts are with you and your family!

It's SPECTACULAR! I am in awe of your talent! It's really just wonderful and unique. I love Jenny's portraits, too! And I met her at last year's fair. Sadly, I didn't make it this year!

I would love to do something like that but it's FAR beyond my skill set! Perhaps you could give us some pointers on how you put it together?
14  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Where Can I find Tea towels? on: September 29, 2004 09:53:40 AM
I really like to embroider on little towels! I have used flour sacks, mostly. I did little holiday towels for family and friends for Xmas last year and they were a big hit. I did weirder/wilder stuff for friends that would appreciate it.

It's very difficult to find tea towels (not flour sacks) that are not pre-embroidered. I do like embroidering on the flour sacks but they wrinkle like crazy! It's kind of annoying. It's very hard to find ready-to-embroider towels in general that are not too fluffy/hard to work with.

Ohh! Thank you for changing hosts. I can't wait to give them a try!

I finally got my copy of the stitch-it kit! I LOVE it. I'm so happy I ordered it. I can't believe how many transfer patterns are included. It's a great deal! You get a hoop, a needle, two tea towels, an instruction booklet and TONS of patterns. I love them!

I do like that there is a mix of hipster and slightly more mainstream images. Most of my pals are yuppies/becoming moms and now I can make stuff they will actually use and love. There is such a need for modern/fun/whimsical patterns that are not icky and grossly out of date (like most of Aunt Martha's!).

Thanks so much, Jenny, for helping me provide my X-mas list with a fantastic array of fun hand made goodies!

OMG How horrible! I wish I could say I can't believe it but, sadly, corporate greed happens far too often!

I hope you sue the pants (and shirts and socks) off of them!

I know you can't say specifically but are there certain *types* of stores I should be scouting? Are they appearing in national chains or boutiques? Oh, this just makes me sick and SO MAD!

I swear every time an idea becomes successful in the craft community, it mysteriously shows up in Wal-Mart or Target a year or two later. Gah! I'm so happy you're an organized business woman that can kick their asses!

I'll have to figure out which patterns I don't have yet and order those as a show of support! Smiley

Beautiful work! And I too LOVE the pattern! And any joke about armpit hair...

I love this! I not must add making a cross stitch portrait to my long list of upcoming projects. I'm going to make one of my wedding. Hee!

I might order it from the Canadian site just to get it quicker! I really can.not.wait to get it! I did embroidery projects for ALL of my X-mas presents last year (most of them were Jenny's patterns) and they were a big hit with friends and fam.

I just bought some new patterns a couple of weeks back to complete my pin-up girl bathroom and as soon as I wrap-up a lame project for my mom I'll be back to embroidery! I really love to do it and it's completely derailed most of my other projects! Smiley
