31  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / My own painted suitcase! on: June 26, 2005 12:13:54 AM
So my friend Mandalu painted this awesome suitcase http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=7184.0
and I decided I had to have my own. I bought the old suitcase months and months ago, but only finally got around to painting it in the last couple days since I found out I'm going to Australia for nearly a month on monday (so excited!).
Thus, my suitcase (the picture is by lichtenstein)
32  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Would this look good? on: April 24, 2005 03:14:38 AM
I have had an idea in my head for nearly a year now of a pearl necklace choker made with those pearls that aren't perfectly round. It would have three rows of pearls connected with a little thing that looks like this

(sorry about the horrible drawing)
I was thinking about maybe using pearls that are a silverish color, rather than white.
Anyways, I don't want to buy the pearls if it won't look good, so I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion. Also, since I might try to sell it, do you think anyone would want to buy something like that?
33  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / how can i draw on my walls w/o being incredibly hard to get off in about 2 yrs on: April 03, 2005 12:13:46 AM
i really want to be able to scribble things all over the walls of my room. i would like to be able to use sharpies, but pretty much the only way you can cover those is to completely mud over them. and as i will probably be moving out in about 2 years, i dont really want to have to do that. i'm trying to come up with ideas of how this could work but all i have been able to think of was to steal large amounts of butcher paper from my mom's school and using a mixture of glue and water, decoupage the paper to my walls. sort of like wallpaper, but easier to come off (right?). but i dont really like this idea because i think it would be very hard to not get a bunch of wrinkles in the paper, and i want my walls to look painted. so if anyone has any ideas of how i could do this, that would make me so happy. thank you.

oh, and i want my walls white.

35  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / black and white stripey necklace on: February 22, 2005 08:16:58 PM
I just finished making this necklace. My mom started it years ago, but she only did about an inch. I found it awhile ago and have worked on it off and on. Recently I got really into it, and even brought it to school today so I could work on it.

I want to put a white ribbon through it so it will tie in a pretty little bow, but I didnt have any, so for now it just has string. What do you think?
36  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / old sheets became pj pants on: February 05, 2005 07:15:25 PM
I had these old sheets that I loved, flannel with blue sheep. But they were getting all worn out, so I turned them into these.
