For halloween this year we are having a pirate party and all things of the sea is included in fancy dress so i would like to be a mermaid.
I have some super stretchy fabric for tail/skirt and some blue velvet fabric with hologramy sequins for the bra top. But im wondering if i should incorperate my shoes into the costume somewhow weird tiny flippers anyone??? I cant quite decide if i should have an actual tail or a long tight skirt with the frothy material at the bottom I have looked at some of the previous costumes and they are fab. Any suggestions help on what is best most comfy especially as i will be working behind bar all night.
For make up im thinking green/blue skin with some gills on my neck and a greeny wig.
I have collected loads of shells so hopefully i can knock up some kind of a necklace and was thinking a tiara but i would have no idea how to go about it??

I need to attach some knives to my costume obviously i cant use reall knives as apart from stabbing myself for real i might get into a bit of trouble
Soooo should i make some knife handles somehow buy some  whats the best way to attach?
Also i think i shall make an apple headband for on top of my head do you think real/plastic or papier mache apple would be best?

hello ... i have a loose fitting summer dress buttoned top to bottom at front. its a red floral pattern with short vest top like sleeves which i dont like ( to wide and has a weird edging on it ) and is about calf length its slightly fitted at waist but is about a size or 2 big for me any ideas what to do?

may be a stupido question but can i use normal permanent marker pen (florescent) to paint some canvas vans
