I'm going to be a Panda this year too!  I'm going to be in North Carolina, where a cold front will hopefully have engulfed everything next week.

I'm making mine around a black body suit I found at a thrift store this summer.  It has all black arms and legs, turtleneck, everything.  I figure I'll just make some kind of white middle part out of a t-shirt and a pillow- the head I'm making out of a giant stuffed animal I found at Goodwill.  The stuffed animal's head is white so I'm just going to cut the head off (un-stuff it) and give it some black ears- instant mask/head.

I am plegued with making the costume cute as well.  It's hard to make fo-fur nice looking, that I do know.  Maybe make the dress out of something lighter like the person above said and using the fur for your head and one color (black or white)-  and your paws?

Do you know what you're doing for your makeup / face yet?  I don't know if I should try to make a fake nose thing or just paint my face.

wow!!!!!!!!!!! that is so crazy! yeah Teddy was Rufio- it was pretty sweet. 

Hey all! 
So my mom and me were shopping at Goodwill a few weeks ago, going through the dresses, when I muse, "what should I be for Halloween?"  She pulls out the brightest yellow dress I have ever seen and says, "You could be the sun!"  So I was!



I got the dress from Goodwill, the crinoline under it from another thrift store, the tights were a gift, the heels were from another thrift store, the sunglasses from a flea market, the belt (which actually has LED lights that spell "here comes the sun" going across like a news ticker) was from Goodwill- which I covered in gold christmas garland.  The rays on my head I made myself out of cardboard, yellow paint, liquid nails, sparkle pipe cleaners, and red ribbon.  I covered my arms, chest, and face in shimmer makeup stuff and wore bright lipstick.  Everyone got a real kick out of it!







Friday night is the big big college Halloween party and I'm hoping to win the costume prize- wish me luck!

this is so great!!!  I was a camp counselor at a girls summer camp a couple years ago and one of the evening activities was "Newspaper Fashion Show" and the girls would have to dress up one girl in a newspaper outfit-  This reminds me so much of that !!! way cool!

this is such a fantastic dress... I want to make one when it quits being freezing cold here!
