1  I need some help with this pattern. in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by Mai Britt on: August 10, 2012 06:04:56 PM
So, i fell over this skirt pattern, and decided to make it.

But, I am stuck at one piece of the pattern.
It is the "patricia Pepe" skirt.

This is the piece were I am stuck. The first 5 rows. I can sort of figure it out, and then again no.

I think it is poorly drawn, and when I look at the finished product, it does not look like, what I would do.
Can someone please help me so I can make this beautiful skirt.

2  HELP - what are these things? in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by Mai Britt on: June 20, 2012 05:20:53 PM
So, I found this bag with some stuff in it today.

I have searched the interweb, and - yay - I found out that I have a button foot, a blindstitch foot and a seam guide.

But the other things in my bag are somewhat of a mystery to me - so I hope you can tell me what it is and how to use the items?

The two red round thingies, the bended thingie and the plate thingie. Smiley

3  Vintage sewing patterns in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Mai Britt on: May 07, 2012 03:54:12 PM
Hello.

I have fallen in love with clothes from between 1940 and 1980 and I am therefore looking for vintage sewing patterns.
But it is very expensive for me to buy them on eBay - if the pattern is cheap - either they wont ship to denmark, or the shipping costs $45.

I have especially fallen in love with this pattern.

But anything will do!  If any of you folks could point me in the right direction for finding this or similar patterns, I'd much appreciate it Smiley

I hope I have placed this the right place, and I hope you can and will help.

7  Queen of hearts costume in Party Planning by Mai Britt on: October 06, 2011 04:11:02 PM
Hey.

I hope I have put this the right place, or else, please notify me. Cheesy

I have just started studying dramathurgy on the university in Denmark, and we are going on a fieldtrip - we have to live in a cottage in a weekend, and our theme for the weekend is fairytales.

I love Alice in wonderland, and even though I had a WERY low budget - I actually got a pretty good result. Cheesy
I had everything - besides a rose.

on to the pictures I have for now.

It is two dresses, one underneath, it is plain white with heart shaped card attached to it, then there is the top one with a collar.

I also made a crown made out of playing cards, a heart scepter and a white rose - painted almost red.

I promise there will be better pictures after Saturday were my sister-in-law is coming with her camera (yay)

C and c is welcome.
