1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Nananananananana BATMAN! on: April 23, 2012 05:39:13 AM
So after about 2 years of planning and saying "I really need to make a Batman" (and a lot of less-than-successful attempts) I finally managed to make a Batman I kinda like.
He's one of the biggest things I've made (other than blankets) but he's still only about 5 or 6 inches.
I had to make a couple of changes. He originally had red lips but they were too feminine, so I swapped them for black, which I think make him look kinda moody Tongue
Also, I overestimated the size of the gap I needed on his mask, and after sitting staring at him for hours wondering why he didn't look quite right, my dad just walked in and told me I just needed to close up the sides a bit. I'd already sewn him all together by that point, and being incredibly lazy, I just slipped in some black felt, which I don't think looks too awful.

And a rather squiffy, poorly lit shot of him with my BatMagnets. Just because, y'know.
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Jack Skellington on: July 28, 2011 11:37:40 AM
I've been lurking on here for well over a year now, and thought maybe it was time to post something.
So here's my latest victim creation. Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I took a while to work up the motivation to make him because I've been feeling really uninspired recently, but my friend invited me round for a making day so I just sat down and got going on him.
I was quite proud of the way his body turned out, despite the fiddly legs and arms (because he's so flipping skinny...) although I'm not too sure about the face. The picture makes him look lumpier than he really is.

I might make him a Sally so he doesn't get lonely  Tongue

Thanks for looking (:
