1651  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: WWP Roun 34 - Ostara Traditions GALLERY on: March 04, 2012 12:58:25 PM
I'm hoping my new Swapper Status board makes it easier to see at a glance who's where. So far it's easy to maintain, but we'll see how it goes!

And kathrynsss, I hope you will join us one of these times. The best swappers on Craftster!  Wink

I suck!  In the mad tear to get the pkg done before my surgery, I packed up the box and sent it and then I remembered I forgot to take pics....I suck!
Cheesy I forget so often that it's almost a surprise when I do remember to take pre-packing photos!

I hope everyone in the eastern US remains safe. The tornado reports are more terrifying every day. We have great gusts of wind here in Ontario, but it's just ordinary, unpleasant blusteryness, not particularly damaging. (Sorry Maman, English is complicated enough already without me making up fake words like "blusteryness"! Embarrassed)

We have a gallery: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=404989.0
Remember to PM me to let me know when you send.

1654  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Avant garde dress made from electrical and speaker wires on: March 03, 2012 07:04:13 AM
This is really brilliant. Too much "recycled" fashion has a makeshift, thrown-together look, and I love that your dress is so slick and, well, fashionable! Like everyone, I especially like the hinges and catches. I hope we get to see more of your designs!

Senders already! Okay, I'll go get a Gallery prepared.

I'm nearly done my main item, and have a little pile of extras picked out, but I'm still looking for something to do as a secondary craft item. Holisticknitter has too much great stuff on her blog and Pinterest and and it makes me think of too many ideas to narrow down a single good one! How is everyone else doing? I know we're still a bit away from the send-out deadline, but it's probably about time for a general update from everyone.

Monnie, I hope your surgery goes well. We'll all keep you in our thoughts!

Oh, do tell us about Spiritual Midwifery, Maman! Is it about spirituality, or midwifery, or both?
1657  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Most Amazing Wicked Vices Altered Tin swap Gallery on: February 25, 2012 04:29:47 PM
In fact I picked up an amazing book in a charity shop last weekend called "Looking in Junk Shops".

Oh, Phizzy, that sounds like a book that all of us need! And MistressT, I envy your Kauai thrift store adventures. My sister lived in Honolulu for many years and even now if you say "Hawaiian flea market", she goes all kind of misty-eyed. Grin

I've been neglecting this Gallery for a while, so it was a bit overwhelming to see so much fabulousness all at once. The Procrastination face; the Judge Judy TV; the secret chocolate stash... I remain perpetually in awe.

Impchild, tell your son I'm making myself a flower-waking wand this weekend so I can be all ready when the weather warms up enough. He knows what needs to be done!

Okay, that has to be the best new idea this week. We've all seen that machine-embroidered fabric and thought "I wish it had a bit of colour", but you've shown how to fix it!

Oh dear, Monnie, this does sound like its gone beyond the usual run of bad luck. Some protection around your home and yourself would certainly be a good idea. The Lucky Mojo website has a bit of information about uncrossing, and there's another useful page at The Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers site. Both of these are hoping to sell you oils and other products, of course, but the information is still useful.
