Those teeth may be tiny, but they're still scary!

Glad to see you're back with us, P_E_S_T. This just shows that there are no minor car accidents!

That micro-knitting is amazing. My jaw dropped. Shocked

I liked the mosaic effect on the inside of the Tarot shrine too. The secret? It's a sheet of scrapbook paper from Michael's. It was aquamarine rather than blue as I'd wanted, but a wash of acrylic paint took care of that. It's always the simplest things that give the best effect.

I want to know how you made that honeycomb too. It's so realistic!

I'm amazed that my shrine got to StudioANF so fast - when I checked Wednesday it had crossed the border and the estimated delivery was Monday.

I had a plastic Virgin Mary statue in my stash that I kept taking out and looking at to see if she could become the High Priestess in this shrine. Finally I just dove in and started carving and adding Apoxie details. The finish is a coat of copper paint and a few applications of copper aging (verdigris) liquid. I like the odd, 3-dimensional quality of the surface.

Soup?  Wulf...were you hungry when you picked your themes? Grin

I have no idea why that slipped onto my list, but it did. Cheesy I wondered if anyone would notice which of these things is not like the others!

A caravan! That's secretly my dream, too. This just looks like you could crawl right inside and live there. Grin

I know that chocolate, too. You're in for a treat!

Wow, these first few shrines couldn't be more different, could they? I love the variety!

I received from StudioANF yesterday, after a bit of a struggle with UPS. American swap partners, please take note: DON'T USE UPS TO SHIP TO CANADA! I know it works well down there, but on this side of the border they're nothing but trouble. In this case, for example, they charged a $30 brokerage fee to collect $2.23 sales tax - which shouldn't have been due anyway, as it was clearly marked as a gift. And they were going to charge it twice but fortunately Nichole had warned me that she'd already paid it. Grrrr!! Angry

Anyhow, after all that I did get a whole box of shrines! I said that I didn't have room for a large shrine, so instead she sent three small ones. Cheesy

The first one is a specimen under a bell jar on a lamp fixture, surrounded by bright green moss and flowers.

But what is it a specimen of, you ask? A rare Steampunk butterfly, of course!

And it's surrounded by these delicate handmade flowers:

The second shrine is another butterfly:

And look at her clever use of a butterfly clip Cheesy to make the stand at the back:

Shrine Number 3 is a little book that opens up to reveal an Altoids tin shrine!

I love the 3-D Tarot card, and the wax seal on the other side. (There's another on the cover of the book.)

But wait, there's more! Grin

The extras included one of her beautiful watercolour paintings...

...this tiny, tiny blue dragon in a bottle, and a handful of skull beads.

I love all these! And I'm so glad I put a little extra effort into the shrine I sent, or I'd be feeling a bit inadequate! Wink

Okay we're not done, but we're getting closer. A few flags have yet to arrive, or I haven't been notified about them. And there are still a few people who have sent and received flags from their partners, but haven't posted the ones they made for themselves:

Antidigger
P_E_S_T
CraftyMamaBee
SonjaBoo

I may have just missed your post, so if I'm wrong, let me know. If not, HURRY UP! Wink

Renstar, what a great flag! I especially like the fabric you used on the sides - it's perfect.
