Bet you could put up a note on craigslist or freecycle and ask for them!  I'm sure a lot of people have some tucked away with no use for them!

OMG I've received from the uber fabulous dreadlocklove!!  She has spoiled me utterly rotten.  I will get pics and put them up by tomorrow at the latest!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, dreadlocklove!

Oh, wow, cherryrose!  That is an awesome package!  I love stamps, especially!  And the ribbon!  You're going to have a lot of fun crafting with this!

These are really cool!  Is the pink fabric also from Ikea?  I love it!

Oh, that's good to know!  Thank you. Cheesy

My package is at the post office - picking it up today! (And probably ripping into it in the car, if I know myself!)

3627  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Oi - help with modge podge! on: May 20, 2010 06:53:39 PM
How about applying another coat with a foam brush?  That'd eliminate the brush strokes and you can sort of apply it liberally?

Not sure how the spray modge podge would work - though let me know.  I'm curious!
3628  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: Do you craft within your "comfort zone" for swaps? on: May 20, 2010 06:52:18 PM
I think it depends on the theme of the swap, really.  There have been swaps where everything is out of my comfort zone, simply because what I'm making I haven't done before - my first few swaps were like that.  Now, though, I think my comfort zone is expanding.  I'm in a swap right now that is just one item, and I'm contemplating sending an extra that's way out of what I've done for a swap before.  It's making me excited to try it, though!

That's one of the things I like about crafting for swaps - it pushes me to expand my skills. Smiley
3629  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Re: 2010 Garden-a-long? on: May 20, 2010 06:19:28 PM
I finally uploaded the pictures of my porch garden! Smiley

My tomatoes (yellow boy on the left, riesentraube next to it), a sickly looking lettuce, and some dying rosemary (seriously, I can't grow it.  Ever.)

Thai Striped White Eggplant, basil, basil, basil:

Soapwort (going to see if I can make my own shampoo when I harvest) and sage:

Garlic and beans (either Blue Lake Bush or golden wax - I forget what I put where ...)

More Thai striped white eggplant:

Sugar Snap Snow peas and the other beans:

There's also a hanging basket of parsley (with a volunteer basil that must have dropped last summer when the basil bolted) and a window box of basil and cilantro.

I also have a pair of mourning doves nesting on my porch (they evicted the barn swallows who were here last year and who had already made a nest for this year).  I'm hoping that the barn swallows conveyed our understanding to the doves - I don't mess with them and they don't divebomb me. Cheesy  So far, so good!

From my understanding, so long as you mark 'gift' on the customs form, they can't really charge fees?  I could be wrong, of course. *G*

That did not work for me.  It was marked gift.

Oh, eep. Sad  I'm definitely curious what others say in that case!
