So I had this idea a while back to paint a manger scene for my wall for Christmas.  I soon discovered, however, that my art skills do not extend to Wise Men or Camels ... or, for that matter, donkeys, shepherds, Mary or Joseph.  Regardless, I kept sketching and finally came up with something that I liked.  My conclusion:  I can do Baby Jesus in a manger and sheep (and by sheep, I mean clouds with legs.)  Yay!

So this is the final product ... I'm really quite pleased with it, actually!

Have you tried Hancock Fabrics?  (www.hancockfabrics. com)  I looked and there seems to be some 'costume fur' there, though it might not be the right kind (though lots of colors!).

Hello merry craftsters! Long time lurker, first time writer (I think)... need some advice!

My new boyfriend has nephews! One is two or three, and one is toddler-sized. I have no ideas for xmas pressies! I've read a bunch of the posts and I liked the reindeer hooded bath towel idea, but is this suitable for both ages? I've only met the fam once and don't know much about them, but I'd like to make something that both kids and parents would like and appreciate.

Any other ideas out there?

Crayon rolls with coloring books comes to mind - every kid likes to color!  Though I can't imagine that the boys wouldn't like the towels.  They sound cool!
