Hee! We're up to 53 participants. Anyone know what the swap record is for # of participants?
All this talk of a garden swap is exciting. I am going to start mine this year. Does anyone have any great book recs for me? Gardening for super dummies who live in Colorado perhaps? :giggle I am not sunbelt, but the soil is different here.
I've got a few books specifically for container gardening, also one on urban homesteading (which always makes me giggle because my condo is TINY and to think of it as a homestead is amusing).
Okay they are:The Urban Homestead
by Kelly Coyne and Erik Knutzen (about being self-sufficient in a city/suburb)Carrots Love Tomatoes
by Louise Riotte (all about companion planting)Fresh Food From Small Spaces
by R.J. Ruppenthal (self explanatory really)The Family Kitchen Garden
by Karen Liebreich, Jutta Wagner and Annette Wendland (about planting a kitchen garden and cooking what you grow - geared toward parents and gardening with kids, but I read it anyway and it's pretty good!)
