So my almost-niece (best friend's baby) will be turning one in December. To mark the momentous occasion, I decided to make her an ABC book, based on the one
eternallyeve made, found
here.
I appliqued the item onto the page and then labeled it with fabric markers. I tried to use a variety of fabrics, to make it more interesting for her to look at/touch/play with. There's also a single layer of batting in each page to make it soft. I think it turned out pretty well ...
The cover ...

ABCD (Cricket is the cat ... you can't tell because she's all black, so she looks like a black blob!) I used the inkjet printer iron transfer paper for the dog, cat, 'Daddy' and 'Mommy' pictures. Also, please note the buttons - trying to start the kid off early in crafting appreciation!
