Loving those colors! I don't blame you for wanting to keep it for yourself  Wink  The yarn sounds pretty scrumptious too...merino/silk? Yummy, yum yum!

Hee, yes.  It is sooo soft!  ariaya did a fabulous job on it. Cheesy

3305  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Craft along for ME- ongoing on: December 23, 2010 08:09:31 PM
This is such a great idea!  I rarely craft for myself and yet I've got things I would love to have.

1. Finish knitting the wrap I started last year.
2. Finish the socks I started for my grandfather for Christmas ... possibly keep them for myself.
3. Make myself a purse!
4. Make the top I bought fabric for this summer.  I have everything and it looks pretty straightforward.  (My first attempt at clothing!)
5. Make a matching skirt. (My first attempt at a zipper!)
6. Finish the Christmas cross-stitch that I've been in progress on for YEARS.  Really, I just need to DO it.
7. Pin cushion.
8. Needle book.
9. Wreath for ME!
10. sewing machine cover

That should keep me for a little while.

redflags- yes!  The coloring is my favorite, too!

ariaya - hee!  I'm so glad I could find something to show off the gorgeous colors and yarn.  I'm half-tempted to keep it for myself.  Thank you again for making it for me!

Lovely gifts so far ladies! And I'm intrigued by that teaser pic... Too cute.

My two packages are all done and shipped, so know I can sit back and relax for the holidays and enjoy checking out what everybody gets! Phew!

I know the feeling!

We do have a new swapper, though, if anyone is feeling in the crafting mood! Cheesy
3309  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / One Row Handspun Scarf on: December 23, 2010 08:55:12 AM
In the last round of the Handspun and Handcrafts Swap, I was partnered with the fabulous ariaya  and she spun some absolutely gorgeous yarn.  It was 200 yards of Merino-Silk in blues and purples (mostly) and I adored it.  Needless to say it was a tough job to figure out what I wanted to make with it.

Well, with Christmas upcoming, I decided to do a scarf for my mom using a pattern on ravelry and it turned out sooooo lovely!

A closeup so you can get a better idea of the colors:

As it's the first time I have finished a knitting project in ages, I am so psyched.
