Hello quilters! I have just finished my first mug rug and wow ... I bow down to all of you who do anything bigger!
This is my finished piece:
I made my own bias tape and I think I know what I did wrong on attaching it (though I think I've done alright with the mitred corners on the front, at least), so that's something, but I'm not going to show you the back.
BUT I have a question ... how do get it so when I quilt the layers together, one side doesn't pull and get off center? I pinned it out the wazoo with straight pins. Do I need the quilting safety pins? (The little squares have become parallelograms.)
Please any comments, criticisms, and suggestions would be really really appreciated. I want to make some for Christmas presents, but I wouldn't want to give something quite this newbie-feeling away, so if you have a suggestion, I would <3 you forever!
