1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Scrap Happy Patchwork Swap GALLERY: send by 11/30 on: January 05, 2012 02:44:50 AM

Happy New Year - wonder if anyone is still reading this gallery - I do hope so! lol

I am thrilled to announce the arrival of the package 'alwaysinmyroom' sent me on 3rd December, received TODAY - 5th January!  Its travels from Pennsylvania, USA to Norwich, England must have been spectacular.  It was def worth the wait.  I am absolutely in love with the contents which include the requested toilet mat, embroidered pincushion, sour candies, fat quarter and ubiquitous state postcard Wink

Piccies:

Thanks so much Linda - if you did start on another maybe you could save for your next swap? I know you are a prolific swapper - but prob not too many requests for toilet mats!lol   Thanks again for the great swap. I've 2 successes under my belt now.  But recently found out am expecting another little "helper" in late June so I best get my craft fix before then!  Cheers, Allyson

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Ice Cream Shop Colors ~~ Crochet Afghan. on: November 07, 2011 02:56:15 AM
it's lovely; I think the tassles finish it off well too.  I'm sure if you had someone show you another stitch in person you could do it.  You need to chat up somebody's granny!   Wink

Finished items already?! wow you lot are machines, lol.

I think DH "owes" me some child free sewing time today so I'm going to disappear up to my craft space in a little while.
Happy crafting
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: two simple pin up girls (EDIT, NOW THREE on: October 31, 2011 02:39:19 AM
Very good work - embroidery does really lend itself to simplistic lines IMO.  Your stitches are so neat and tidy - can't believe it's your first go at it.

I wasn't going to sign up cuz I have quite a few WIPs  Cool but keep coming back here and decided that I just can't stay away! I love scraps, well prob just the hoarder in me can't throw any little bit away  Cheesy

ok, before I complete my questionnaire do you lot think it ok for me to request a mat to go around base of toilet or it that just weird??  Thing is we're buying a new, very old, house and the main bathroom is carpeted which is yuck to me - cuz I know DH is lazy IYKWIM.   We won't be able to afford to replace the flooring for a while so I thought I would need something which can be thrown in the washer... ok, is that just too gross to use someone's craftiness to effectively be pi**ed on??! dang, maybe I should maybe request shopping bags  Huh

10  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: WIP - hexagon kaleidascope quilt on: October 04, 2011 08:42:41 AM
wowzers that is cool.  I've got about 20 hexie "flowers" done for something - quilt/runner, not quite sure - but I have never seen this kaleidoscope method! That looks freakin awesome - wish I had known about it  Undecided
