1  Re: Scrap Happy Patchwork Swap GALLERY: send by 11/30 in The Swap Gallery by Mrs_P on: January 05, 2012 02:44:50 AM

Happy New Year - wonder if anyone is still reading this gallery - I do hope so! lol

I am thrilled to announce the arrival of the package 'alwaysinmyroom' sent me on 3rd December, received TODAY - 5th January!  Its travels from Pennsylvania, USA to Norwich, England must have been spectacular.  It was def worth the wait.  I am absolutely in love with the contents which include the requested toilet mat, embroidered pincushion, sour candies, fat quarter and ubiquitous state postcard Wink

Piccies:

Thanks so much Linda - if you did start on another maybe you could save for your next swap? I know you are a prolific swapper - but prob not too many requests for toilet mats!lol   Thanks again for the great swap. I've 2 successes under my belt now.  But recently found out am expecting another little "helper" in late June so I best get my craft fix before then!  Cheers, Allyson

2  Re: Embroidery Hoopla Rnd 6 Gallery!! (Send 9/12/11) in The Swap Gallery by Mrs_P on: September 29, 2011 12:41:00 AM
Wow love the Venus hoop - so did you print the image onto fabric - how does that work?

Better late than never?!  WhiteSheep and I exchanged last week and the week before that.  We both wanted same theme.  BTW this was my first swap so that is why mine is so amateurish! lol

So, here is what I made her, tree & bird a la Aimee Ray:

And what I so very pleased to receive (hand drawn):

love her tiny chain stitches (her first time doing them)

Great experience in doing a swap, will keep my eyes peeled for Round 7!

3  Apron gifts for Mum & daughter in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Mrs_P on: November 03, 2010 06:12:24 AM
I came up with an idea for a pressie for a friend in our Mums' group who turned 30, her daughter turned 2 and they are moving away next month.  We used tipnut.com and one of my own aprons for patterns and traced one hand from all our kids (about 20 in total), used iron on applique bonding and zigzag stick around each hand so they stay on in the wash.  My friend who helped me also then embroidered the kids' initial so the hands are identifiable. Jemma loved them - I can tell because she burst into tears.  Something similar would be a great xmas gift perhaps?
