Any crafters in or around Newnan or Peachtree City?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Magnetic Closures? on: May 15, 2006 06:41:18 AM
Hello crafty people!
I love making bags/totes. However, I am not too happy with my closures. I have been using either Velcro, buttons or a tie.
Have any of you used magnetic closures? I would love to work with them but not sure what I would need or where to start. Every time I decide to use something new I always pick up too many items or the wrong ones.
Any suggestions??
And I am participating in a craft show and this is the first time I have a good amount of bags to display. How do you ladies display your bags where your table doesn't look cluttered?

Thanks for reading!!!
3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Bag/Tote Displays on: May 15, 2006 06:34:44 AM
I have a craft fair coming up and I need some help!
This is the first time I have a good number of bags for sale.  I just need some help with ideas for displaying them.
I was debating on using a display my husband was going to make. A basic "T" shaped display made from pipe.
However, I just don't know how "pretty" it will look.
Any tips on displaying your bags?

Also, I was looking into using magnetic closures for some bags. I've never worked with them before. Any suggestions or tips?
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Trademarks & Copyrights on: November 22, 2005 10:56:57 AM
Hi crafty people!
I am looking into growing with my crafts. I've been to a few craft fairs and really find this to be a source of happiness for me.
So I have come up with a new name for my crafty business and want to get serious.
So...
How would I go about trademarking the name of my crafty business?
I am looking into registering a new domain name and starting up my online business.
How can I be 100% certain no one is using the name currently and how can I protect for future use?
Are there any helpful links, books and such that would be educational on this?
Confused.... Huh

Searching!
I am new to the craft show business! I am loving it! However, I really want to vamp up my table display. I sell beaded jewelry and hand made bags.
I've searched the web for craft fair displays but haven't found anything I like.
I am searching for some funky ideas for my jewelry and hanging my bags in a very simple and pretty fashion. Also some colorful boxes, table top racks and such. I am also looking for a bodice for pictures of long necklaces.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for reading! Grin

I am not certain if there is anyone on this board that lives close to either of these cities.
I live in Newnan and wanted to possibly hold craft nites at my place or meet at the new Coffee Shop in Newnan.
If anyone is interested let me know!

8  Georgia / Georgia: Central / Anyone close to Newnan? on: June 12, 2005 06:56:52 AM
Just looking to see if anyone was close to Newnan? Or anyone willing to meet up in downtown. I like traveling there from time to time. I hope to make it to ICE.
