1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 2nd time trying duct tape wallet on: July 27, 2011 01:02:16 PM
My son and I had a long afternoon ahead of us, and nothing to do, so being the crafty mom that I am, I bought duct tape. Grin Since he started getting an allowance this year, I've felt that he needed a wallet, but I haven't found any places that sell wallets for little boys. Plenty for teen boys, and plenty for little girls, but not for boys. So we finally decided that we would make our own.

whatcha think? This is only my second time trying a duct tape wallet, and I couldn't find a tut that I could understand, so I had to wing it from memory.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: Fun Skirts on: November 16, 2009 01:47:15 PM
Both skirts are great, but I'm more a fan of the cherry print one. Also, your shoes?! LOVE THEM!! Where?? lol Grin
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: OTDT Rd 3 Holiday Edition (Signups Nov. 9-16 Sendouts Dec. 15th) on: November 09, 2009 03:55:29 PM
I'm interested but I'm not very good at any crafts. I can do some (knitting, crochet and cross stitch) but I'm still newish to them, so I think I shouldn't, maybe next year?
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Longing for New Moon: from Forks to Italy and back on: November 09, 2009 03:10:30 PM
I SO badly want to be in a swap, but after seeing this gallery I'm going to have to pass. My crafting skills are not up to par with this level of awesomeness. Maybe another time.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Forgotten, found, and finally finished - the hat that took over a year on: October 08, 2009 07:08:19 AM
Nicely done. I love the color combo, and that you had the motivation to finish a UFO. Good for you! send me some of that motivation, will ya? lol Tongue
6  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Doctor Who Scarf Knitalong on: October 07, 2009 03:36:27 PM
I know I'm about a year late on this KAL, but I'd love to join if I could? I just started a season 12 scarf for a friend, and am about 1/2 through the second stripe, lol. I definitely could use some motivation to keep going. It does make good tv knitting, too bad I don't watch much tv ....lol. How is everyone else's going/coming?
7  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Boys Link / Legend of Zelda Costume on: October 07, 2009 10:50:00 AM
Thanks so much for posting! This is the first year my son has had an opinion about his halloween costume, and he insisted he be Link! I ran into the same problem of no premades, but your post has given me a jumping off point, thanks!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 1st time trying duct tape wallet. on: October 02, 2009 10:15:21 PM
I've been hearing about duct tape wallets forever, and after seeing one here on craftser fasioned after a NES controller, I decided it was time I made one.

Look! It's done! (after fighting with the damn duct tape for 2 hours!)

(It has pockets, yay!)

The money shot (and close up of the pockets)
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / A Kitty House for a studly cat. on: October 02, 2009 10:02:14 PM
So Im thinking alot of cats like boxes....My Bandit does anyways. So we decided to make one especial for him. We (having kids) had an old pink Pull Ups box laying around. My hubby ( a perfectionist/math nerd) used a compass and cut a Bandit- sized hole.

But after much deliberation, I decided it was not right to subject my manly man cat to such a girly pink box. And besides, everyone kept asking me why I had a hole in my Pull Ups Box. Undecided

I thought long and hard about how to make his box more manly. Then I thought, what would a man do? Use Duct Tape! So I bought some colored duct tape, planned out a design, and made a manly kitty house.

10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: New Baby's Embroidered Birth Sampler on: October 02, 2009 10:01:26 PM
You have got to be:
1- the most organized person I've ever encountered.
2- The most creative person I've ever encountered.
3- the luckiest damn person I've ever encountered.
4- All of the above.

WoW.
