Details of swap: Find a matchbox that holds between 30-40 wooden matches (roughly 2 inches by 1 ½ inches) and fill it as full as you possibly can with tiny supplies. You'll be amazed by how much you can fit in it! You can put anything you want in it, as long as it is craft related.  Supplies such as beads, paper, ephemera, postage stamps, brads, buttons, fibers, embellishments, stamped images, stamps, ribbons, stickers, foam shapes, fake flowers.  Handmade goodies such as, earrings, magnets, a necklace, charms, pins.  If it fits and can be used in a craft, or is a craft it's fair game.
You can have 1 or 2 partners -- you will decorate a matchbox for each partner, and you will receive a matchbox from each partner. You will list 5 themes that appeal to you and hopefully your partner will choose one of those themes but of course your partner may have ideas of their own.  Just as long as you decorate and cram as much into the box as you can all will be good.  This swap is meant to be a quick, easy, and cheap swap so no extras. If it doesn’t fit in the matchbox do not send it.  

About shipping:
Delivery confirmation is required in the US for this swap, and swappers sending non-US packages must keep mailing receipts and be willing to send a scan or picture of that receipt if there is a problem. If you are unsure if your package is big enough to qualify for delivery confirmation, please upgrade to a bigger envelope or box.
Also, remember to send a message to your partner and your organizer when you send AND when you receive. In a large swap, it is difficult for us to keep track of receiving just by posts in the threads. Thanks!

Didn't see this anywhere and not sure it would be possible but thought I'd throw it out there.  I would love to see optional folders in my inbox.  When organizing especially it would be handy to clean up my inbox.  I do use labels to find pm's but my inbox is always still cluttered.   Just an idea.

Details of swap:
Are you always looking for leprechauns and their pots o’ gold at the end of the rainbow?  Do you want to kiss the Blarney Stone? Is St Patrick’s Day your favorite holiday?  Is the  wearing o’ the green a year long thing for you?  Then this is the swap for you. Whether you love leprechauns or Celtic Knots, castles or shamrocks, claddaghs and crosses, this swap is more than just about St Patrick’s Day.

This will be a 5 point swap. Store bought extras are always welcome but please make sure the majority of your gifts are crafted by you. Of course it is up to you and your partner to decide if you want to send more. Spend a little time to find out what your partner likes and dislikes are and this will be a great swap for all those involved.

I know it's only Jan 1 but St Patty's Day will be on us in no time.  Last year I organized the Luck of the Irish swap.  i was thinking of Round 2 or maybe a St Patty's Day/Irish Once You Pop Swap or an altoid tin.  I'm more than happy to organize if there is interest.  Any comments or ideas?

Details of swap:
Here's the deal. You will be given five theme ideas from your partner. You will choose one of those ideas, and re-con an Altoid tin according to the theme. (If you are unable to find an actual Altoid tin, you may use a substitute, provided you keep the size to anything smaller than 4" x 4" (10 cm x 10 cm), and not thicker than 1" (3 cm).) They don't have to be square or rectangular, I've seen some cool round tins. After the tin is decorated, you will fill the tin with tiny objects that also relate to the theme.

For example, if your partner chose "red" as a theme, you would decorate the box to reflect "red". It could just be different shades of red, or perhaps pictures of red items (roses, cherries, or firetrucks, etc.). Then, you decorate the interior of the box and fill it with red things...maybe a pair of red earrings, a red purse charm, some red hots...whatever "red" means to you. The catch is that you can only send the decorated tin and whatever fits into it. Nothing else!

There is a short signup period but with 4 weeks of crafting time, if you are feeling frisky and you want to do two tins, you may request two partners. It's up to you.


There are some rules, though.
1.  You MUST post in this thread so we can communicate with you easily.  A simple "I'm in" will suffice.

2.  You MUST get a DC number (US only), or it will be noted in your feedback.  If you are shipping internationally please keep your receipt and take note of the customs number.

3.  You MUST send on time and pm me and your partner with the DC number, OR communicate with me that you will be late. Do not make me have to ask you whether or not you have shipped. Poor communication will also be noted in your feedback.

4.  All PMs MUST have Altoid tin theme swap in the subject line (I get a lot of PMs  and it gets confusing)

5.  Last but not least...NO FLAKING! Make sure you have the time to commit and do a good job for your partner. We are all busy with vacations, kids out of school, etc over the summer so if the timing doesn't work for you, please sit this one out. Wait for the next round.
