1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Stitch markers on: December 17, 2010 03:13:12 PM
I don't knit and I crochet badly but I know what your talking about and those are beautiful.  I could see them as glam gifts for any knitter/crocheter in all kinds of jewel colors or pearl beads!
Those are great!!
Now I'll have to try my had at knitting and crocheting just so I can make some for myself ^_^

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Our Cozy Faux Fireplace :) on: December 17, 2010 08:16:22 AM
How nifty of you!!  It looks great!!
This brings back some happy memories!!
I did this when I was in college and I wanted the feel of a "fireplace" in my dorm room.  I had a single room and wanted to decorate for Christmas.  My then boyfriend bought some "fireplace" brick and some foam board.  We made the "fireplace" together for the holidays.
He must have done something right because he's now my husband ^_^

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: The Mystery of the Glowing Calavera on: November 11, 2010 04:36:06 PM
Oh my gosh, this is a very nice design!
Your little mischief reminds me of the time my brother got a glow in the dark monster poster from a box of cereal.  He had a great time putting it up in MY room that night and scaring the beejeeber out of me ^_^

Oh so very cute!
If there was a twin you could have made green grapes too ^_^ but a single bunch of grapes is simply fabulous!!

Might I inquire in which establishment you happened to acquire that fanciful furry fabric?
(To be thought aloud with a fancy british accent.)

I too would like to know where to get such fabric (in not so sophisticated british accent)

For 2"+, long pile fur I've found:
http://www.crscraft.com/products/vProduct1.asp?pid=Fur&L1=2&L2=13&L3=0&L4=0&L5=0&V2=10&V3=0&V4=0&T2=Style&T3=&T4=&cat=bear+supplies%E2%8A%82%3DFabrics&sub=&class=&searchOffset=x
and
http://www.imstuffedfur.com/

These places are quite pricey, $15 to $25+ a yard/58"/60" wide.
Still, I'd love to make a fierce lion cap.

If anyone has a resource for inexpensive long pile fur, please do tell ^_^
