11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Chainmaille swap anyone? :'D on: May 12, 2011 05:26:28 PM
I recently bought a magazine and decided I just had to have a bracelet I saw in it.  So I ask my son to make it for me.
As usual I will have to learn to do it myself if I ever want one! So I am definitely going to start in June. After school gets out!
So if an August mail out date is a definite, I am in! NOTE: I am a novice at chainmaile!!!  And have metal allergies so I will definitely be checking into the Anodized niobium.

Ok I love peeps and PepperRose did not disappoint!
My totally awesome tote bag with Peeps scenes!!!  I love love love love love love it!

And the other side!

Then the box was full of goodies!

One necklace and bracelet with nice big blue beads and pearls.
Two stretch bracelets one with bunnies and one with chicks.
A ton of candy. Very good candy chocolate bars, mini robin eggs, crunch bars, suckers, erasers, Reese's cups, chewy fruit candy, And of course PEEPS!
In the bottom there were some cool stickers, stars and smiley faces, and mail labels with peeps tru blood and one of my favorite pics of a moon goddess!!!!  How she knew I use a ton of those foil stars I don't know; but I do!!!! The kinders will absolutely love the erasers and candy that will be filling up the eggs for our egg hunt tomorrow. Perfect timing!
Thank you so much PepperRose I was so happy to come home to a wonderful box of joy!  You are the best swap partner ever!

Still  kicking.... Grin
I am finishing up two things that will be combined into one!  Hee hee go figure that one out swap partner.

Then I did another but it did not turn out right so back to the drawing board on that one. And started a third so if the second does not go totally right I can just scrap it.

I hope to send out on time but it may have to be sent out a day late. Only because it got sprung on me I had to work Tues. night and on Saturday. So I won't get done at work til the post office is closed! arrrr. bosses

I was originally going to go for making Ukrainian easter eggs, but school's been clogging me up so I'm just decoupaging them. :S

I was also attempting some. My class watched Patricia Polocco do it and the teacher knew I was crafty so she told them all I could do it!  So now 20 2nd graders are begging for them.   I tried melted wax crayons and it did not do well at all! I guess I will have to spring for some better wax and real instruments!!

Got some supplies for crafting today, hopefully inspiration will hit soon!

OK-- see now I am so envious --- I feel like the kid in the corner who is just lost!  You all sound like pros.  I'm more of a "oh pretty colors, Feels soft, and what the heck was I thinking" sorter. I do not know what half this fabric is made of.
I do know what a fat quarter is, only because that's what it says on it when I buy it. I do remember opening it up and thinking wow I got a lot for that price!

Oh I really want to join!!    Cry       But I am in charge of a banquet on the 14th!  I'm afraid I would end up doing a rush since I will be consumed with the banquet!!!  But then again I am one of those people that does best under pressure.    hmmmm.  What to do; what to do!
Wait til closer to end of sign ups to see. I will definintely be watching the gallery if not!

NotKnit :  I was wondering the same. I kinda like the idea that points would be the eggs but then again I love getting crafty goodness!  Either way I'm totally in. Grin
