This is the first patchwork dress for me, also the first buttonholes and the first applique.
I think it turned out okay considering.  I probably made at 100 button holes before I got it close to right.  There are things I know to do different next time.  The bodice is a little big, but it fits ok.

Any suggestions welcome.











The blue strip in the back is because I forgot to leave room for the buttons and I was out of the green, I think it is ok.

I don't really like the yellow top under it, that was the only one I had on hand.

This is a little outfit I did for my granddaughter.  My daughter wanted her to have something that was way out there to were to a birthday party.  She was at home so I did not have a model.  

She did look cute with it on.  .

This is a very simple dress I made for my Granddaughter.  It was fabric I had left over and it was just enough.  I wanted to do wider fixed shoulder straps, but I could never get them to set right, so now they tie.







I did not like the black shirt under it, I think white would look pretty good.

I am new to this forum, but have been lurking for a while.  I saw a dress recon and just had to try it.
I found a man's button shirt at a thrift store, it was our football teams colors.

My 14 month old granddaughter has inspired me to start sewing.

I cut the dress out from the shirt, cut it too small so I added side panels, the top was a little big so I added elastic.  My sweetie is never still so getting good measurements is impossible.  I made the sleeves with the man's shirt sleeves.

She will be the only little one with this Auburn dress.
